The Rezakiri regains its stature, and I look at it with a newfound confidence.
Much like others who played the game, I had to repeatedly fight the behemoth for its drops. Therefore, I knew its attacks, I knew the proper way to fight it. I was actually glad that I was fighting it and not the other end game boss, Shrowd.
The behemoth rises into the air, and small beams of light form on the ground below it. I gulped at the sight of hundreds of deadly light orbs aimed at me with the intent to kill.
But my determination wasn't fazed, as I knew the way to deal with this attack. Once again regaining my earlier stance, I crouched down, and sheathed my katana, ready to move when needed.
Seconds after the last light orb is formed, all of them launch towards me, with the hulking figure of the Rezakiri once again falling down in exhaustion. They aren't fast, but they aren't meant to be, as their sheer quantity is supposed to be devasting.
As they near, I begin my sprint forward, dancing in between the gaps of the orbs.
With each orb passing me, I knew that at any moment, one could strike me and throw off my momentum and definitely kill me as the others would hit me as well.
Knowing this, I wasn't afraid, in fact, I was started to feel exhilaration. I wouldn't describe myself as a battle maniac, I fought because I had to. But it's something about this moment, fighting this creature, that I find exciting.
I clear all the orbs and continue running towards the behemoth who has had the time to recover is beginning to return to its normal stance.
I close the distance between us and strike out with my katana at the only thing that I can reach, its tail.
I feel immediate resistance the moment that my blade comes into contact with the hard shell of the Rezakiri, even slightly bouncing back from it.
The Rezakiri raises its deadly claws and slams towards the ground in my direction.
I jump back out of harm's way, then back forward as I strike at its exposed eye.
I pause as my blade strikes the eye and it bounces back once again wiggling as if I struck a rock.
As it flies back up and its tail returns back in front of me, I notice a small scrape on the armor where I struck it.
I just have to keep striking at that same spot over and over to possibly break a part.
I go back and slash twice at the area above its tail where I hit it before, when the Rezakiri moves again.
It flies higher into the air, bringing its tail above my head and the orb begins to glow.
Knowing the only attack, it could be doing, I step back out of the way and focus on the next attack.
A giant beam of light strikes the ground in front of me and begins to split into five separate beams.
While my focus doesn't even compare to that of when I'm in the Galvanic state, but it still slightly slows the speed of the beams.
Focusing on the attack, I see the gap between each beam, and I calculate the proper timing to dodge them.
Taking a step back, I countdown the time until I can safely step between the beams.
The beams sweep towards my feet traveling clockwise making me take a step back.
Just as the beam nears my new position, I weave carefully from one to the to other, feeling the heat and sheer force from the light.
The beams stop and the Rezakiri lowers from using a light attack once again, so I take advantage of its lowered state to start slashing at one of its huge claws.
The behemoth shakes its head and raises back into the air, so I start slash at the earlier spot.
I get multiple slashes in before the Rezakiri takes action, bringing its tail back in the air.
Recognizing the attack, I start running away from the behemoth. It swings its body, flinging its tail 360 degrees, but I have already cleared its radius.
Normally, a Slayer would simply dodge through the attack since they gain invincibility when they do, but I don't have that luxury. I have no choice but to use this method of dodging that attack since I doubt that I can jump over the tail.
I rush back to the behemoth, and it strangely lets me start slashing at the spot again.
After a couple of seconds of attacking it, the behemoth finally takes action, rising into the air with its claws raised.
The Rezakiri slams into the ground with a resounding boom, as its claws sink into the ground just as I once again escape harm.
I rush back at its side, striking at the left claw while its grounded.
The Rezakiri attempts to rise into the air again, but its claws stay rooted to in the ground, keeping it in place.
Using this to my advantage, I keep slicing at the claw, leaving small trails in its armor where I strike.
I manage to get five more hits in before the Rezakiri frees itself and hovers into the air again.
As it corrects itself, I keep slashing at the area. With each slash, I can feel myself growing more and more fatigued.
Huffing from how much effort I have to put into each swing in order to hurt the Rezakiri this much, I notice the Rezakiri's armor crack, and some pieces fall off, revealing a green softer hide underneath.
The Rezakiri rotates its head back down towards me, but I notice its movements and back up from it.
It flies towards me, spitting out three radiant orbs in quick succession.
Knowing that its coming, I jump back further, and he undershoots them as I land and launch forward back towards him.
Coming back to the Rezakiri, my mind thinks on how fatigued I am running around a jumping through all these attacks.
If it had the heartbar, I was sure that I probably didn't even make it lose a corner.
I needed to deal some damage if I wanted to end this before I exhausted myself.
Energy begins circulating within my body as I focus it towards my right hand.
Electricity travels through my hand and into the katana, sending sparks dancing across the blade.
I focus all my strength into this one swing as I slash towards the exposed spot.
The blade connects with the spot and with a Bzzzt, parts of the shell and sparks fly off into every direction.
The Rezakiri screeches in pain and drops to the ground as I step back out of the way of its path.
Feeling the electricity flowing through my body, I press my advantage at the downed behemoth.

Update: Surprisingly, the strike is still happening and will continue into September. I think both sides are still negotiating but neither side knows how to compromise so it's going to take a while. I dont know how i did it, but I legit worked 12 hour shifts five days in a row this week.
Somehow, I managed to write some chapters for the upcoming double chapter week though, so don't worry, I'll uphold my promise.
It'll start on Monday but itll look like I only posted one chapter because Im going to remove the 'Sorry' chapter.
