"Owen! Apologise right now!" Mom stood up from her seat and yelled
"As I said before, I really mean to disrespect you. So, sorry if it felt like that, but my request is genuine. I want to have a spar with you." I said it in a calm tone, trying to diffuse the misunderstanding and tension.
"Don't you think you are going a little too far? Do you think so little of us Koreans?" Jisuk grabbed my shoulder, and his grip continued to tighten.
I looked at him dead in the eyes. Even if it may have come off as me looking down on these guys, he has no authority to grab my shoulder and try to intimidate me.
"Take your hands off. I have already said I didn't mean anything like that." I said that and yanked his hand off my shoulder.
"You fucker!" he said while gnashing his teeth.
"Stop!" Inhyuk intervened and put his hand in front of Jisuk to stop him.
"Jisuk, you can't attack our guest like that."
"But he..."
"I know." Inhyuk said that and looked at me. "Mr. Knight, although you are from a prestigious family and a high-ranking group, you can't underestimate a nation's strongest. I hope you realize what you are asking for."
He said all of that in a calm way, but I could tell that he was really angry.
"I know what I am asking for." I said
Inhyuk frowned and said, "She is one of the top 200 awakened ones." He tried to intimidate me and let go of the match by saying that, but I just started laughing at what he said.
"Oh please! She is not from the top 200." I said this while holding my stomach.
"See Inhyuk! This fucker is way over his head! I will beat him to shit right now!" Jisuk yelled while I moved and stood in front of Jiyoung. She was obviously angry at my behavior. If stares could kill, I would have been dead by now.
"You are among the top 50, aren't you?" I said
This made everyone quiet and surprised, especially Jiyoung and Inhyuk.
"What do you me-?"
"And you are among the top 100." I interrupted Inhyuk, and this shocked him even more.
"How did you find out?" Jiyoung said with narrowed eyes and looked at Mom.
"I didn't tell him anything. I myself didn't know you had become so powerful over the years." Mom said
"I will tell you how I found that out if you agree to the spar. In fact, I will even do anything you want in return. This spar holds a lot more meaning to me than you can imagine. So, if you agree to this, I will do you any favor you want from me, and this also extends to my entire group as well."
"""!!"""
"What?!" Jiyoung said
"You heard me. Anything you want. Of course, only as long as it doesn't end up destroying our group. But even if we take a loss, I will still do what you want."
Everyone in the room was shocked.
This type of offer will never come again. An international, globally recognized awakened group agreed to do any type of favor. This favor could be anything; it could even be a form of force control, yet I agreed to give it to them.
But this spar is just as important. In order for me to grow stronger, I need this at all costs. Unless I am pushed beyond my limits, my haki will not evolve further. It will take a huge amount of time for me to do it naturally.
To master internal destruction, I need an incredibly powerful opponent. And she is the one. This woman is the key to my progress, so if she even demands a 'seat at the table', I will still give it to her.
It may seem hasty, and I may come to regret that decision in the future, but it doesn't matter. The regret will only last a few days or moments anyway. But my strength will remain with me for as long as I am alive. And considering the way the other groups are behaving, I need to become a lot stronger as soon as possible.
Just taking over the position of the WAA's number one has already made me a target in all the big group's eyes, so it wouldn't be surprising if they sent a few assassins. Which is why I need to up my game and continue to grow stronger.
"I will need some time to think over the details of the deal." Jiyoung said
"Then I will help you make your decision even easier. On top of all of that, I will resolve the main problem the awakened society of your country is facing." I said
"What?"
"Yes."
"And how do you plan to do that?" Jiyoung asked
"The same way I know you are one of the top 50." I said. "Take as much time as you need, but please let me know about it at the end of the day. Now, if you will excuse me, I have some sightseeing to do. C'mon, let's go." I patted Jisuk's chest and walked out of the office.

[General POV]
After Owen walked out of Jiyoung's office, leaving only her, Owen's mom Jinah, and Inhyuk in the room, all three of them sat back down in their seats, but the air was filled with awkward silence.
Even after wanting to ignore what had just happened, Owen's request still rang in their minds, and as such, Jiyoung decided to address the situation first.
"Jinah Unnie. I think you owe us an explanation." Jiyoung looked at Jinah and continued, "You brought your son here with you, and I want to know why?"
Jinah sighed and then said, "To be honest, this was a miscalculation on my part."
"Hm?"
"I didn't think his abilities had developed to the extent where he could even sense your power level." Jinah said, which made both Inhyuk and Jiyoung completely astonished.
"Ms. Jinah, are you suggesting that that 17-year-old kid is strong enough to sense the presence of a top-50 ranker?" Inhyuk asked
"No. He...." Jinah looked at Jiyoung for a few seconds before she continued saying, "First things first, you aren't going to accept his request, are you?"
"...I was thinking about considering it, but then he went ahead and said some ridiculous things that made it sound too good to be true, so yes, I was planning on refusing his request. Now please continue." Jiyoung said
"Well, since that is the case, I guess telling you about it will be better." Jinah said and took a couple of seconds before continuing, "Owen has a special ability that allows him to sense the awakened ones."
"What?!" Inhyuk exclaimed in shock
"Yes. I don't know just how exactly it works, but I have seen him in action, and he has been able to identify many awakened ones in our territory who otherwise would have remained unnoticed and would have continued to live in hiding. He has also been able to detect their power level, so I guess that is how he found out about you two."
Both Inhyuk and Jiyoung were left speechless by Jinah's revelation about Owen's abilities and couldn't help but admire just how convenient that ability really is, but with this information, they were also able to reach the true meaning behind Owen's claims.
'I will resolve the main problem the awakened society of your country is facing.'
"So he plans to use that ability of his to detect the awakened ones in our territory and register them as official awakened ones, all in exchange for a spar?" Jiyoung asked
Even though she now somewhat believed his claims, she still couldn't find out exactly what he would gain from that. After all, he agreed to solve their problem, which is the low number of their official awakened ones in the country, and he agreed to do them a favor without any bounds, all for a spar. Would anyone in their right minds do that? No, there had to be more than that, and she needed to find out what that was. So she decided to directly ask for the answer.
"What does he get out of this?" Jiyoung asked Jinah
"I am not sure either. But I have seen him getting stronger while fighting those who are stronger than him. Maybe he is trying to use the spar with you to get stronger himself." Jinah answered after a short pause.
"That sounds unbelievable." Inhyuk said
"Yes. If a person like that existed, they would have already become the strongest in the world." Jiyoung said
"As I said, I am not sure what he plans to achieve either, but on another note, I hope you accept his request, Jiyoung." Jinah said
"Why is that?" Jiyoung asked.
"Do you remember what I said to you all those years ago? I told you that one day your existence would shake the entire world. Well, I feel the same way about him." Jinah said, stunning the two world rankers in front of her.
"This is the main reason I wanted the two of you to meet. I am concerned about Owen's safety. Unlike you, he is already out in the world, and he doesn't have the opportunity to hide and grow his strength in secret. Although he doesn't have the mindset to do that either, he is the type to show off his powers. I thought that if the two of you could meet and create a good relationship with each other, one day Owen could rely on you and Shinhwa." Jinah said
"Unnie, I understand your feelings behind the matter. But you can't force the kind of relationship you want us to have." Jiyoung said while getting up, moving to the end of her office, and looking out of the glass window. "I will grant him the spar, but that is as far as I will go. I can't put him in my good graces just because he is your son. I hope you understand that."
Jinah simply looked down on the ground and said, "I know. But you will change your mind soon. You will realize just how much worth he has as an ally after your spar. Anyway, I think we should go back to business now."
"Alright," Jiyoung said, sitting back down on her seat.
