Chapter 14: School???

After Satoru "kidnapped" Hideo, he took him to the jujutsu school and explained some things along the way.

"So you're telling me that in this world there are cursed spirits that cause harm to people and kill at least 10,000 people each year."

"Yes."

"And normal people can't see them, which is why there are people responsible for exorcising them."

"Yes."

"And you're the strongest among this group of people."

"Yes."

"And you hid me because I didn't have cursed energy and wouldn't be able to protect myself if someone kidnapped me to use against you."

"Yes."

"So now that I've awakened my cursed energy, I'm in danger, and that's why I have to train and go to this school you mentioned."

"Yes."

Satoru simply nodded to everything Hideo said as they walked through the hallways of the jujutsu school. With Satoru's speed, they arrived in an instant, so they took the opportunity to clarify some things along the way.

Hideo simply nodded. He had accepted his new life and stopped worrying about his previous life. Although he missed his siblings, he wasn't too concerned about them. It's likely that with the system, he'll find a way to travel back to his world. And if not, well, he trusts that those kids will be able to get by with the help of the old man. So he decided to focus on the present and leave his life in his previous world behind.

"Okay, that sounds reasonable. But what will happen to my school? I only have exams left to graduate." Hideo said with a calm expression.

"You took it easier than I thought, but well, it wouldn't be a good idea for you to attend your school. Your cursed energy is too strong and unique. It makes you appetizing to curses. I wouldn't be surprised if a grade one or higher curse appeared. It will be easier to protect you at the school with the old man Tengen's barrier."

"Tengen?"

"Don't worry about that old four-eyed man," Satoru said with a grimace on his face, apparently recalling something.

"So, changing the subject now that you know the basics, I'll tell you a little about what we're going to do from now on. I'll introduce you to your classmates. We had a new member yesterday, so they must be happy to have another one so son." Satoru said, recalling the boy he brought yesterday.

"After you get to know them, I have to train you to control the basics of jujutsu. You have the power of a special grade, but you don't control your powers, so you need intensive training." Satoru said with a wicked smile on his face.

"Training? What will we do?" Hideo asked, curious about this "training." Anything that makes him stronger is useful to him.

"Well, we'll watch some movies and take a little trip to Mexico. It seems a 'Llorona' has appeared, and she'll be a good opponent for you. Curses don't usually appear outside Japan, but occasionally one shows up, and there are no sorcerers abroad to control them."

"Meh, whatever you say. You're the strongest, after all." Hideo replied, unfazed, and simply nodded. If his brother says he needs to train, it's for his own good. Satoru is probably the person he trusts the most since he's the only blood relative he has. In his previous world, he was an orphan, and in this life, Satoru is his only family, so the brothers care about each other a lot, even if they're always fighting.

"Well, wait a bit. I'll tell my students something. I'll let you know when you can come in. Hehe, they'll be surprised." Satoru said with a wicked smile on his face. However, Hideo couldn't hear the last part because Satoru whispered it.

In the classroom, there were four people. The first one was a girl with black hair tied in a ponytail, wearing glasses and long stockings. She was sitting with her legs crossed, looking out the window. That's Maki Zenin. There was also a white-haired boy with a scarf covering his mouth. He seemed unperturbed, staring into space. That's Toge Inumaki, who was also wearing a black uniform. Next to him was a nervous boy wearing a white shirt and black pants. He had dark circles under his eyes, as if he hadn't slept for months, and he looked around anxiously. That's the prodigious sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu. And there was a... panda? Yes, that's Panda. He wasn't wearing any clothes and was trying to start a conversation with the girl and the nervous boy, but the girl ignored him, and the boy couldn't look him in the face.

While this was happening in the classroom, Satoru suddenly entered. He changed his glasses to bandages, covering his eyes, and was wearing the same black uniform as the others. He entered with a huge smile on his face and stood in front of everyone, raising his hands in the air.

"Time to introduce the transfer student. I hope you're excited!" Satoru exclaimed.

Everyone in the classroom had question marks floating above their heads and turned to look at the nervous boy, who didn't know what to do and avoided everyone's gaze.

After a while of everyone staring at Yuta, Maki looked at Satoru and spoke up.

"What the hell are you talking about? Are you finally going senile? You introduced Yuta yesterday."

Satoru simply widened his smile at this statement.

"Well, who said I was referring to Yuta? Hehe, you're in for a surprise. Let me introduce you to my brother, Gojo Hideo."

After those statements, the classroom door opened and Hideo entered, wearing the school uniform and with his hair loose. He scanned the entire room and was surprised by the people in it. Since awakening his cursed energy, he could now see it, both in people and in the residues left by curses. He was surprised by Maki, who didn't have any cursed energy like he used to, and Yuta, who seemingly had infinite cursed energy. He was also surprised by Inumaki, who was wearing a scarf. But despite all these things, nothing compared to the shock he felt when he saw a panda sitting at a desk.

Hideo was surprised, but the others were equally surprised. Firstly, they were surprised to discover that Gojo-sensei had a brother. The second surprise came from the amount of cursed energy Hideo possessed and how strong he seemed. To understand this better, it's important to know that Hideo belonged to the Gojo clan, so his base cursed energy was already large. On top of that, his cursed energy had multiplied by 777, and its quality was on a different level. Some were surprised because it resembled Kinji but in an indescribably larger amount.

While everyone was surprised in their own way, Gojo was enjoying the spectacle. But before anyone could speak, a menacing curse manifested behind Yuta. It was white at the top and black at the bottom, without eyes and with a large mouth filled with sharp teeth. It had tentacles protruding from its head. This was the queen of curses, Rika, who surprised everyone in the room except Gojo.

Yuta tried to calm her down, looking nervous.

"Rita, calm down. She's not a bad person." Yuta said while hugging Rika.

"But, but Yuta, he's strong."

"Don't worry, if Gojo-sensei brought him here, there must be a reason. So, don't worry," Yuta said with a smile, patting Rika on her... head?

"Whatever you say, Yuta, but please don't hate me. Don't hate me, don't hate me, don't hate me," Rika continued to repeat as if her life depended on it, while tears seemed to endlessly flow from her... eyes?

"Don't worry, I won't hate you for this. You can go back into the ring. You don't have to worry about me," Yuta said sincerely with a smile.

Rika nodded and returned to Yuta's ring. Everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief, including Hideo, who was in a defensive stance attempting to imitate a boxing guard, but poorly executed since he had never fought anyone other than Satoru.

Maki sighed, with a cold sweat on her forehead, and looked at Satoru.

"Gojo-sensei, why didn't you mention that you have a brother, and that he's so strong? What rank is he?"

"Mm, well, I guess he's a special grade. By the way, here you go, Hideo." Gojo said, throwing an ID card to Hideo.

It had a photo of Hideo waking up, a photo he didn't know existed. It had his name, birthday, and other details, stating that he was a special grade. Hideo wondered what the hell it meant.

"Well, it's not surprising coming from the Gojo clan." Maki said, nodding to herself.

The others also nodded, thinking it made sense.

"Well, although he's a special case like Yuta and Maki, he hadn't possessed any cursed energy until today. He awakened it today, so even though he has the strength of a special grade, he doesn't know how to control it. Maki, you'll be in charge of training Yuta and Hideo." Satoru nodded, satisfied with his response.

But the faces of everyone in the room expressed surprise since they had never seen a case of someone awakening their cursed energy out of nowhere. It was rare for someone not to have cursed energy in the first place, and those few who had it never awakened it. Yuta's case was different since he already had a bit of cursed energy before being cursed by Rita's spirit. Well, at least that's what he believed. Therefore, it can be said that Hideo is special in the world of jujutsu.

Maki's expression changed from disinterested to surprised. Perhaps if she discovered the secret of why Hideo obtained cursed energy, she could change her life. Yuta's expression changed from surprise to hope, as he found someone in the same situation as him, equally strong. They could be friends, although they were more than that, they just didn't know it yet.

"Well, I'll leave you alone to get to know each other. I'll be back in a while to take Hideo with me. By the way, Hideo, see if you can make friends for the first time in your life. Good luck and have fun," Satoru said, waving his hand as he left the classroom.

"You're not my mother." Hideo said, furrowing his brow.

And so, in the classroom, there were only five people, four of whom were staring intently at the black-haired boy. He simply sighed, 'Well, I guess having friends isn't a bad idea.'
