"I won't beat around the bush and will directly come to the point," Jin Fengming told Xianwu. They were standing at the isolated end of the open corridor.

"Speak then," Xianwu stated.

"I have feelings for the Crown Princess for a long time... Like when we were kids. I don't want you to approach the Crown Princess and make things difficult for everyone," Jin Fengming stated.

Xianwu nodded his head as he hummed in response. "Fengming, I cannot let her be with anyone else except me. Forgive me, but you've to compete with me if you want to be with Crown Princess," he affirmed.

Jin Fengming snickered and asked, "Why now? Why not before, Xianwu?"

"I would like to ask the same question from you," Xianwu directed the same question at him.

Fengming furrowed his brows together as it didn't seem easy to stop Xianwu from getting close to Jia Li. "The Crown isn't for a man like you. You should be aware of this," Fengming stated.
