"What did you say?" Yu Chen was shocked to learn that the woman Xianwu desired to be with was none other than the Crown Princess of the Tang Empire. "Are you serious?" he asked, this time lowering his voice.

"Yes, I am," Xianwu admitted and picked up the dumpling from the plate. "I need to find the shooter as per my promise to the Emperor. If I fail, then I will lose my chance to be with the Crown Princess," he explained to Yu Chen.

"I was also interested in the Crown Princess. Now, I realized why you asked me not to think of marrying the Crown Princess," Yu Chen remarked and told Xianwu he betrayed him.

"What? How did I betray you?" Xianwu asked as he ate the dumpling after dipping it into the sauce.

"When we were ten, we made a promise to each other," Yu Chen reminded him.

"I didn't keep any secret from you. You are the first one to know about the woman whom I like," Xianwu said proudly.
