Capítulo 9: Is it wrong to push down an elf beauty?
"Isn't that, Ryuu!!?"
Kai muttered in surprise after seeing a figure sneaking around jumping from roof to roof tailing the three scums and the white hooded man just like what he was doing.
Though he couldn't get a better picture of her due to the enormous distance between them Kai was still able to confirm that it was Ryuu with just a single glance at her soul that is a synchrony of white and gray just like Bella's.
"What is she up to?"
Kai mutters as he sees Ryuu's figure getting closer and closer to the four as if she's a predator waiting for an opportunity to pounce at its prey.
After her shift was over and the pub closing Ryuu headed out and tracked down the ones who assaulted Lili and Bella concerned that the 3 might bring trouble not just to Lili and Bella but also to Kai.
Though she knows that they stand no chance against him because she herself is doubting whether she could defeat him after his display this morning, power isn't everything in the dungeon city of Orario.
They might not be able to face him directly but attacking him indirectly is also an option.
She was only planning to track them and gather information but the moment the white hood man made its appearance Ryuu's mood darkened.
Memories of what happened 5 years ago flashed before her eyes explosion and death all around the city, close friends and civilians dying before her very eyes, and before she knew she was exuding enough killing intent to put any normal person unconscious.
However, the four personage the white hooded man included she suspected to be part of Evilus due to the ever so familiar iconic get up did not notice her.
Their instincts were so pitiful that it means they're nothing but feeble trash who have no real actual combat experience.
Guessing that she wouldn't get anything from the four even if she captures and interrogates them Ryuu decides to just go for the kill.
Evilus members are known to commit suicide if ever captured and their suicide method is taking the captor with them.
Following them isn't an option either because from what she knew after years of fighting Evilus they used secret pathways that could very well be a sure death trap for those that aren't part of Evilus and aren't familiar with the path.
Though she was in rage that such a vile organization still exists to this day she couldn't be careless.
And it isn't worthy to throw her life just for a bunch of disposable pawns.
However, just as she was about to pounce at the four she felt a presence behind her and a soft hand was placed on her shoulder as if trying to stop her.
She reacted fast yanking her own body by performing strange unorthodox body movements to escape the unknown person's possible attack range before delivering a horizontal slash using her weapon Alf's Lumina.
But the unknown personage was able to easily dodge her attack by simply stepping back which she expected after all this person is able to sneak behind her without alerting her until the last moment.
However, just as she was about to send a follow-up attack she stopped in her tracks after recognizing her unknown assailant.
"Kai, what are you!!?"
She screamed in shock realizing it was Kai.
But before she could finish her words Kai was able to close their distance in an instant.
Kya!!?
Ryuu let out a girlish scream
Kai gently pushed her down onto the cold concrete of the roof there in, his left hand on her back while his right hand was placed on her mouth to shut her up, preventing her from letting out any noise.
Her eyes widened, her first instinct as an elf was to resist his touch but strangely enough her body refused to do so.
She was so caught at the moment that she completely forgot what she was doing here in the first place as she just closed her eyes.
However, unlike what her body and mischievous mind was anticipating Kai did not do anything perverted as he just stood atop her his eyes were sharp and his focus was somewhere else.
Seeing the look on his face that didn't carry any hint of mischief or any perverted thoughts, she calmed down and let out a sigh.
Kai looked down on her with an apologetic smile, she felt and saw both curiosity and worry on those pristine vibrant bloody crimson eyes of his.
His mere gaze and genuine concern about her well-being is like a sunny sun giving warmth to her cold heart
Realizing that she might have misunderstood his motive her face turned a bit red and her elven ears began twitching nonstop.
"Um, can you let go of me?"
She asked him in a shy tone.
She didn't know what had gotten into her.
Why is she acting submissive all of a sudden?
"Right, I'm sorry. I forgot elves hated direct skin contact."
Kai immediately let go of Ryuu.
"But please listen to my explanation before you smack me or anything."
Kai who had watched a number of anime already suspected what was coming next but to his confusion, Ryuu just sat there looking at him shyly.
Kai didn't get what had gotten into her.
He misunderstood her blush for annoyance and anger.
Fearing that she might have been very pissed and angry due to his bold actions Kai immediately clarifies things to her.
He told her that he had been tailing the four she's about to kill using tracking magic and if she kills them all his efforts will be for naught.
He also went and clarified to her that if he hadn't stopped her from creating any more noise she might have alerted the four and that would be troublesome.
And finally, his reasons for pushing her down was because the moment she screamed his name it attracted the four's attention and right now, they were looking in their direction.
Thankfully, the four didn't suspect anything and just thought that some lovebirds were at it doing the deed in the middle of the night.
Kai's detailed explanation regarding his reasoning for being here, his actions and even goes so far to guess the thought process and reaction of the four people they were tailing just made Ryuu more embarrassed.
The first few sentences in the explanation slipped Ryuu's mind as her focus was more into the said thought process and reaction of the four people they were tailing.
Her mind is imagining indecent stuff regarding her and Kai.
'No, we shouldn't.'
Meanwhile while Kai is still trying to explain things to Ryuu the four men walk in a corner where a hidden door opens up leading somewhere else.
Kai who had noticed their movement stopped on his explanation his expression becoming serious and a bit solemn as he told Ryuu about their movement.
"What do you plan to do with them?"
Ryuu asked Kai in a lonesome expression.
"About that, I suppose I will observe them for now."
Ryuu was hesitating whether it's good to inform Kai about the four men being part of a dark organization; Evilus as she suspected.
She didn't want to drag him into her own troubles.
Kai noticed her worries as it was obvious on the complicated expression she's making.
"We have our own secrets we wanted to keep to ourselves. But regarding this one, if possible, please tell me all you know. I'm already involved in this matter, so there's no need to hold back. The more information I get, the better I can respond."
Kai told her, his expression was serious.
Ryuu seeing him act so serious and resolute gave up.
"I understand."
She then told Kai everything that happened 5 years ago and all the details she has regarding Evilus.
She also told him about her Familia getting wiped out due to a scheme machinated by Evilus members.
