Jackson was not expecting that Greed would survive that explosion that happened that day as for Bunker and Tool Maker they both have a strong defensive quality metals used to build them therefore Jackson was not as surprised to know that they survived the explosion.

However, Greed was a different story as Greed was built as differently as the other two. Greed was built with the intention of mass production but the Greed in front of Jackson is the original. Greed's role within Jackson personal AI assistants is to be his merchant and finance manager. 

Greed is a program to assist Jackson in managing his money as well as how to sell or buy the things Jackson wanted. If Jackson wanted it Greed would buy or get it for him, Greed would also manage the items Jackson invented and would make an insane amount of profit from it.
