Capítulo 72: SPECIAL PATROL INSERTION/EXTRACTION
"SH*T!" cursed Ariel, who ran headfirst into the radical Islamists firing from downstairs. She took cover behind a shelf, opening fire at her 2 o'clock position at the radical Islamists rushing up from below.
Charlotte deployed her shield, while wielding her QBS-09 shotgun in one hand, firing it as if it's a pistol, the power of the shotgun at close distances making it a perfect fit for stopping the enemies from coming up, albeit barely, given their numbers.
Phineas, who is to her right, fired from behind a wall, raising his SIG 516 rifle with his left hand to keep his exposed area minimal.
"GET THE F*** HERE YOU 2, WE ARE PINNED DOWN!" yelled Charlotte into her radio as she reloaded her shotgun.
"Working on it!" yelled Sean, pinned down in the first floor behind some crates, extending his SCAR-H out of the cover to shoot, using the fire control AI and the live feed on his HUD from his optics to aim.
Khai fired another rifle grenade, blasting some of the radical Islamists back. He reloaded his under barrel M203. Since the distance of engagement is too close to use the rifle grenades in their Exo-suit grenade launching modules, Khai's M203 is the only source of heavy firepower the 2 have.
Khai fire his M16A2 in controlled bursts, covering Sean who threw a grenade and a flashbang, temporarily halting the enemies' advance, allowing them to move forward.
Things however, have became worse for their comrades above. The Zionists from the 3rd floor have also rushed down from the stairs, firing at them. Phineas returned fire from behind a wall, raising his SIG 516 rifle with his left hand to keep his exposed area minimal, while Jay and Xiao Tian kept firing on the Zionists on the opposite end of the building, stopping them from charging over, which would be disastrous.
"THE LONGER WE ARE HERE THE MORE DANGEROUS THEY ARE!" yelled Jay, reloading.
"They won't kill them, not now at least!" said Charlotte, stopping to reload her QBS-09 shotgun. "They are hostages, you don't kill them!"
True enough, the remaining Zionists above locked Nanami, Santos, James and Xu Qing all in the locker rooms, keeping a close eye on them.

"WHAT? THE COMPOUND IS UNDER ATTACK BY UNIDENTIFIED FORCES AND THE ARABS?!" roared Ori into his phone, taking cover behind a few crates. He tried to return fire with his X95 rifle, only for it to be shot out off his hands from a precise shot fired by Karl, shooting off 2 of his fingers too. He screamed in pain, quickly bandaging the wound.
In front of him are the bodies of dead Zionists and Vanguard terrorists. A Vanguard terrorist took cover behind him, firing at the UNSSD operators in front, only to quickly crouch down again as more bullets rained down on them.
"Lock them down!" yelled Karl, firing his HK-416 behind a sentry robot firing its miniguns. Erika fired a rifle grenade from the under barrel grenade launcher of her SG 552, blasting a cluster of enemies into the air.
The Assault Pathfinders 3rd Company ran into the tunnel when on the hunt for Team Zero, suspecting that it is where they are hiding, they attacked the tunnel with all of their strength, using airborne IFVs and assault guns to decimate all of their forces on the outside,the blasting their way through the tunnel with immense firepower.
Ori, grunted, pushing the Vanguard terrorist out of the cover, then quickly ran back. The Vanguard terrorist is then shot into bits, allowing Ori to escape, though not before a bullet hit him in his left leg. He limped back into a bigger room, where the Zionists and Vanguard are retreating. Columns of vehicles are being loaded up with supplies, ready to leave.
"The Compound is lost! Evacuate using plan C! Go to the heliport!" he yelled.
Just then, the shooting gradually stopped. Ori knew that means that the UNSSD troops had wiped out those outside, and are going to breach into the room soon.
He quickly set up the self-destruct sequence, running off onto the vehicles that quickly drove off. He then pressed the detonator, blowing up the room, causing the entire area to collapse onto itself, cutting off their pursuers.
"F***..." cursed Erika, looking at the wall of rocks that is blocking their path. She threw an energy punch, and the rocks did not move an inch.
(In the building)
"Last mag!" yelled Jay, reloading. Xiao Tian threw him a magazine.
"GRENADE!" yelled Ariel at a flashbang grenade that is thrown up from the first floor. She quickly kicked it back down, though a bit too slow, and she is momentarily blinded.
Charlotte quickly moved to cover her position. Phineas in the mean time is suppressed down by the enemies above, withdrawing behind the wall.
Just then, another grenade blast is heard downstairs, and the firing below ceased.
Hearing footsteps, Ariel yelled, blindly firing her rifle.
"WHAT THE F***? YOU ARE FRIENDLY FIRING!" yelled Sean from below, jumping out of the way of the bullets.
Hearing Sean's voice, Ariel and Charlotte ceased firing, allowing Sean and Khai to come up.
"Took you 2 long enough," chided Charlotte.
"Had to clear off the stragglers first," said Sean, unloading his SCAR-H magazine to have a look at the remaining magazine capacity.
"Alright, what's the plan now?" he asked.
Xiao Tian kept shooting as he gave orders.
"Charlotte, Khai and Jay stay here to cover us, rest of us advance up," he ordered.
With that, Charlotte and Khai switched positions with Xiao Tian. The 2 fired with their grenade launchers, firing 7 rounds in total, blasting back the enemy advance. Jay threw back a grenade that landed by his feet, it exploding halfway across the hallway. He then rushed to the back to guard the stairs, holding off the radical Islamist reinforcement.
Ariel grabbed a cluster grenade, while Phineas readied a flashbang. The 2 timed their throws, throwing the 2 upstairs in sync.
A Zionist saw the flashbang exploding in his face, blinding him, causing him to cease firing. The subsequent "boom" from the cluster grenade leveled him and his buddies, opening the path for the operators to rush up.
Ariel, who had her shield and pistol raised advanced up the stairs with Phineas raising his SIG 516 over her shield, while Xiao Tian and Sean followed, also kept their guns raising upwards to cover the 2 ahead of them.
The 4 arrived safely on the third floor, Xiao Tian fired follow up shots on the bodies on the ground as they advanced towards the swimming pool, gunning down any opposition they see on the way.
Arriving outside, they readied to breach. Ariel released a mini robot, which then rolled into the room at breakneck speeds, detonating at the foot of the Zionists outside, killing them.
Ariel and Phineas charged in, gunning down the Zionists they see, with Xiao Tian and Sean quickly moving to cover their blind spots and pushing the attack, getting out of the "fatal funnel", the area at the entrance.
Hearing the shooting outside, the Zionists in the locker rooms quickly got to work barricading the area off. Little did they know that Nanami had been slowly freeing herself from the chains thanks to her gargantuan strength.
Seizing the chance, she broke free, catching a Zionist with her legs, violently snapping his neck as she landed on the floor, then holding the Zionist that tried to be funny with her in a throat lock, using him as a human shield, ensuring that their captors will not dare to shoot for fear of friendly firing.
The commotion distracting the Zionists inside, causing for them to be caught unaware when the door is smashed open with a battering ram.
2 flashbangs rolled in, blinding the people inside. The 4 operators stormed in, clearing the room and freeing their comrades.
"Remember to call me sweetheart, it would hurt SO much if you broke your promise to give me a good time~" she whispered into her prisoner's ear, then snapping his neck in a swift motion, throwing the body aside.
James grabbed the Zionists' weapons and body armour on the floor, passing it to his comrades. Phineas and Sean administered some first aid, then gave the 4 of them a harness each.
"We got them!" radioed Xiao Tian.
"Copy, Evac is 10 minutes out!" replied Charlotte, firing her Pit Viper pistol now that she has ran out of rifle ammunition.
Khai drew his SIG P226 MK25 pistol after his rifle jammed to sustain the fire intensity. On Charlotte's orders, he broke contact, running up the stairs, with Jay following, Charlotte being the last to leave.
Once everyone has gathered, they rushed up to the rooftop, readying themselves for the evacuation. Because the rooftop is too small to support a helicopter landing, they will have to use a Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction, or SPIE system instead. How it works is that a helicopter will throw a rope down where they will attach themselves onto using harnesses, and then the helicopter will fly off, pulling them into the air where they will then be pulled into the cabin of the helicopter. Such a method of evacuation has its pros and cons. The pros is that it is much more flexible, allowing them to leave the danger zone quicker. The cons is that when they are suspended underneath the helicopter in the air before they are pulled into the cabin, they are essentially target practice for enemy anti-aircraft firepower.
Soon, Shirley Miller's voice can be heard on the radio, notifying that they are here, and 2 modified civilian helicopters without any markings appeared in the distance.
"Smoke'em!" ordered Shirley, and rockets landed around the building, cutting off both the radical Islamists and the Zionists. She then opened the door, aiming her SR-25 sniper rifle down, picking off those that managed to charge to the rooftop.
One dropped down a rope while the other continued firing, proving fire cover. The operators below quickly hooked themselves up.
They are soon pulled into the air. Sean looked at the buildings getting smaller and smaller under him. Fortunately, the other helicopter did a good job of providing fire cover, and they are soon pulled into the cabin without receiving any further injuries.
