Capítulo 12: Ame no Habakiri
"This is what we call Ryuo" Oden then starts sheathing his katana.
Again, I'm left speechless, this...Ryuo, or Haki, or whatever is called, seeing the flow of the energy through Oden's body, I don't know what to say, I'm completely stunned. How is this even possible? And why can I see it?
I've known for years that this sense of mine isn't normal, but seeing veins of lava in his body is just another level of this.
'Wait, didn't he say..?' I need to get my answers and if he can give them to me I'm not going to turn it down.
"Didn't you say there are three types of this thing?"
"Yes, I did" I still cannot comprehend how he can change personalities so fast, one second he doesn't care about anything, and then he turns into a full-on sensei mode.
"The next type of Haki is called Observation Haki. Although we are very proficient here in Wano with Ryuo, we almost got no knowledge of this one" Wait something's not right.
'If we don't know of it then how does he...'
Oden taps his head with his finger "While Armament acts over the body, Observation acts over the mind. It allows the user to sense the presence of other people, one can sense their intentions and emotions too.
It's more difficult to train this type of Haki, but it isn't any less powerful than Armament, it all comes down to how one uses it. And from what I can tell you have a great affinity towards Observation, one I have not seen in anyone else.

And now it all made sense, the reason I could see for all these years, why I could feel the emotions of others and that feeling when I fought someone. I was using this energy and I didn't even realize.
This is something that has scratched at the back of my mind for years, but it certainly didn't answer all the questions I had about myself, not by far.
"I've heard crazy stories about what one can achieve with Observation, and if it's all true then it's much more powerful than what many think.
And then there's the last type of Haki, it's the rarest of all, you could probably count the users in an era with your hands, this is called Conqueror's Haki.
Many don't even know it exists, it's said that everyone that has it will become an important figure in the world's history, almost all the people that know the existence of this Haki think that one has to be born with it, it's said that only a user of Conqueror's can defeat another user.
But that doesn't come nearly close to reality, everyone can have it, but only a few manage to manifest it.
Armament Haki acts over the body, Observation acts over the mind, and Conqueror's Haki acts over the last remaining piece of a person, the spirit, only those with a strong spirit and an unwavering determination have it.
It allows one to exert your own will on others."

Suddenly a great pressure descends on me as if the air itself wanted to crush me, I can feel all my senses shutting down slowly and the bright aura of Oden fades into darkness, my eyes roll back and my body feels as if it was made of stone and I start to fall backward to the ground.
Everything has been swallowed into the darkness and my consciousness starts to fade away.
'I REFUSE!'
Before falling to the ground I place my foot on the forest floor with force, lifting some dirt off the ground and regaining my footing, I...don't know what just happened, I was embracing unconsciousness, but then by instinct, I placed my foot in the ground. It just felt... it felt wrong, as if I just couldn't let my body fall before the pressure.
"Hufff Hufff" My sense start returning to me and the figure of Oden starts appearing again, he...HE'S SMILING!
"What-Pant-did you do?"
"UHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What you just experienced was Conqueror's Haki! A normal person would've just fallen unconscious!"
'That was Conqueror's? I didn't see anything and he almost made me pass out!'
With my hands on my knees, I'm still trying to catch my breath, it took everything out of me to snap out of that pressure, but Oden starts walking towards me and then he places a hand on my shoulder.
"You did good" THE MAN ALMOST MADE ME BLACK OUT AND HE TELLS ME THAT! What is he doing! he is out of his mind, but...
...but for some reason, it feels good.
He gives me some space and I start to regain my breath, now good, I get straight and look at him.
"Let's continue" Instead of Oden being the one that says it, the words come out of my mouth, to which he again smiles.
Getting serious, Oden reaches again for his Katanas on his waist now grabbing both by the sheath, one with each hand.
"These are my swords, this one is called Enma and the other Ame no Habakiri, they both are sister swords, created by the same blacksmith, they were made to complement each other.
It's said that Enma can cut through the bottom of hell, while Ame no Habakiri can slice through the heavens. They are called cursed swords and it's for a good reason.
Every sword made with care has a will of its own, and the will of these two is extremely strong. If I had to say, I would say that Enma is like an angry samurai while Ame no Habakiri would be like a gentle geisha.
If a regular person wields Enma, he would suck his Armament Haki dry and kill him in a matter of seconds, he only lets himself be wielded by someone he considers worthy, even I feel my Haki being drained a little sometimes.
And then there's Ame no Habakiri, I may have said that she is like a geisha, but personally, I think that between the two she is the most frightening."
I can feel a smile forming on his face again and he extends his arm grabbing the sword.
"Why don't you try it!"
