Capítulo 54: The Forest of Dreams

The veiled world was full of surprises, but in all his years as a Dreamwalker, Xander had never been pulled into the Dreamscape unwillingly. Though dreams were supposed to be relatively harmless, Xander didn't feel safe without his weapons.

It wasn't the forest that made Xander nervous, but the voice that had greeted him from the darkness. A being powerful enough to drag a sleeping man's soul fragment into the Dreamscape was not to be taken lightly.

Stripped of his weapons and cards, Xander felt naked and vulnerable as he traversed the enchanted forest. The bell-shaped flowers soon gave way to golden bee hives, engulfed in dim yellow auras.

Farther down the path, Xander spotted peculiar star-shaped berries growing in scattered clumps under the boughs of the tall oak trees.

Twigs and dry leaves cracked and crunched under his boots as he ducked under looping vines and climbed over uprooted trees sprawled across the forest floor.
