Alex silently mourned for Lockhart, and the Slytherin table is constantly whispering something that made Alex suspicious, he knew they are plotting something, 2 days ago someone tried ambush him at 5th floor when he is returning to Ravenclaw common room, Alex countered but the other part has more people and as soon as Alex countered they ran away in different directions but Alex through his magic sense recognised some of them, Marcus flint, Damian carrow, and Ivan Avery from Slytherin all are pureblood wizards.
then looked at Malfoy who is in a daze these few days, Alex simply sighed and looked at Marcus flint who is smirking and watching him, Alex also smirked which immediately made Marcus shiver, Cho who is watching this smiled at Alex, she is also ambushed by this Slytherin's, but the ring protected her and Alex knocked out them also he hung them upside down at the astronomy tower for the whole night.
this made the pure bloods laughing stock and they never bothered with Alex, but today Alex is going to beat them brutally in front of everyone and show the so called pure blood is nothing but a name, Alex is grinning imagining the looks on their faces while Cho who is beside Alex looked at Alex with a confused face, Alex simply kissed the back of her hand and Cho smiled at him.
after transfiguration class which is theory about 2nd year they went to the great hall to find a stage, Lockhart entered with a disgusting smile and bragged himself, and introduced," allow me to introduce my assistant, professor Snape, don't worry I'll return your potions master one piece at the end of class , so you don't have to worry about him".
Alex is trying to stop his laughter and looked at Lockhart with pity as Snape looked like a tiger ready to hunt it's prey, Lockhart also observed this and gulped but maintained his calm demeanor, Alex expected this duel to be like the one in movie, but it's different as Snape didn't fire experlliamus but silencio on Lockhart along with some curses and jinxes like dancing and hitting himself also an unknown curse that made Lockhart continue to fart, fans of Lockhart closed their eyes but some students are cheering Snape, Lockhart gave Snape a puppy look , Snape gave disgusted look and released him.
immediately Lockhart said about the volunteer pairs while pulling harry, Snape also pulled Malfoy who climbed the stage and started the duel , harry fired some knockback spells along with fire spells and others while Malfoy had a hard time defending against them , harry fired a stunning charm then used experlliamus took out his wand.
since the quidditch match hasn't started at Harry is fine but Alex thought since he is the target this time maybe he'll be the one to end up like harry in the movie, and Snape pulled Alex this confused all the students including Alex but he went to the stage opposite to Harry, while Harry is pleading Alex with his eyes, Alex just smiled and started the duel but Harry is only releasing experlliamus and some minor spells, Alex looked at Harry and released a knock back jinx with a little power knocking him out, Harry went down the stage with an ugly expression while Hermoine consoled him, before Alex come down from the stage a voice sounded," dare to accept my challenge potter? we'll see who is greater and I'll pay back all the humiliation I suffered because of you".
all the students turned towards the voice to notice Marcus flint who is smirking while Alex found a malicious magic on him not on the threshold of a horcrux , he immediately guessed it as a black magic prop, he sighed looking at Marcus and accepted it to let him face the consequences.
Snape stopped Marcus and asked not to do anything stupid and scold him for challenging a lower grade student, but Marcus argued by saying Alex is a duel champion and it's reasonable, some Slytherin's supported his claim mainly pure bloods , Snape sighed and gave a warning to not try something stupid, Marcus climbed the stage for duel and looked at Alex and said mockingly," let's see what our saviour level of power is?".
Marcus started the duel with a stunning charm and disarming charm but Alex waved his wand and a non verbal shield activated, it prevented the spells and Alex fired some jinxes like pasting his legs to the ground and a tickling spell that will make you laugh non stop , Marcus is hit by them and is laughing maniacally, the students thought Marcus lost his mind as they don't know about the ticking curse only Snape knew about this and looking at Alex with a weird face.
Marcus is looking at Alex with a disgusted expression and red eyes, the duel went on Alex made Marcus a laughing stock while Marcus is looking angrily at Alex , then he took something from his sleeve and fired a black magic spell, all the students gasped as they saw the dark art, Snape immediately stunned Marcus but the magic is released and is going towards Alex but Alex invoked the turtle shaped shield charm and the dark fog from the spell of Marcus touched the shield and fell on the ground eroding the stage.
Alex said," congratulations on earning a one way ticket to azkaban by using a vicious black magic mr.flint". he got off the stage while the students are looking at Marcus with horror in their eyes, Snape looked at Marcus with disdain while Lockhart is bragging about how he would've handled the black magic, Hermoine and Daphne rushed and checked Alex for any injuries, while Harry and Ron asked about how he is.
