Capítulo 6: True Dragon Vs Demon Lord (2)

"Fine then, I won't lift a finger. I can't say the same for the others though" Guy stated these words with his hands up as if surrendering.

"It's fine. I'll do my best not to kill them in your stead."

Translation: I'll kill your demon lords if they tried something funny.

"You're so cold... Though I like this you better." (Guy)

They both concluded their conversation right there.

"Though I promised I won't lift a finger... I am curious to how much you've grown now, Veldora-kun."

Translation: I may consider not messing with this Rimuru you care about so much if you fight me.

Veldora stared at him sternly. The grinning Red haired demon lord looks at him with the face of a battle maniac.

"So you want to see it then?"

Translation: shall we fight then?

"Wouldn't that be interesting."

Translation: Let's do it.

*Boom*

Inside a barrier, two individuals can be seen exchanging punches with each other.

"Fuhahaha! You really did grow stronger, Veldora!"

In contrast to the redhead's grinning face, Veldora had a serious one.

Veldora understood why despite being a True Dragon, he was much weaker than guy. But that was 300 years ago, before a certain Demon Patriarch enters the soul of the dragon.

Veldora has learned to create stances, and techniques as well as the ability to read the opponent's move. Despite the fact fighting Guy Crimson was a fight of raw power, Veldora will not abandon the moves that he had created throughout his life.

---Veldora Tempest's POV---

Origin Demon's Cultivation technique, was the name of the technique that caused havoc within the previous cultivation world.

I created that technique right after becoming the master of the sect. Yet the general said it was defying the ancestors if I decided to teach it to someone else? It is my technique, not theirs.

The concept of the technique was actually extremely simple. True Qi, Chakra, Magicules, Qi, Mana: in the end, they are all just chunks of energy that can be manipulated by the body if you train enough.

The concept of "Breaking through realms" was simply being able to gain more energy and refined material body.

My technique allows me to enhance my control over those energies better. That was simply it. No fancy shit as in absorbing nature's energy or cleansing meridians and every impurity of the body.

So in a sense, Origin Demon's cultivation technique was never a "Cultivation technique" in the first place. But the ability to adapt with all kinds of energy to nourish them for the material body.

Those guys back in the cultivation world could've reached the same power level as I have if they had realized this. They could take all the pills and a hundred thousand years ginsengs all they want, if their control over the energy was shit, then they can just go severe the meridians they love so much.

You never needed meridians/dantians to control energies in the first place, you simply need to make energies flow throughout your body no matter how the process was and choose the path they would take inside your veins.

Only then would their powers can be generated however they want, no weird poses or chants are needed to cast an attack on that point.

Now then...

*BOOM*

The material body was one of the reasons mortality existed. That is why Spiritual beings such as Guy and I can simply leave it and make new ones if we require it.

"Don't you find it fun too, Veldora-kun. You always boasted about willing to defeat me, almost making me want to see how that'd turned out now." (Guy)

Translation: You might have grown more mature, but is that the only thing?

"Fun? That's what it is for you?"

Looking at him with contempt, I dodge an incoming strike of Guy's roundhouse kick. None of the both of us uses any weapons.

But the bloodlust we emitted is enough to kill a human who just stood a kilometer away from our fights.

It was just a spar, yet my blood was boiling. The speed of my arms went up more and more just to inflict damage on the Red Demon.

And finally... *BOOM*

Guy was launched toward the edge of the barrier, smoke coming from his stomach, and the barrier wavering.

"Fufufu, Nice punch."

Again, in contrast to him, I do not have the smile of a battle maniac like him. Instead, a cold face without any emotions.

"You say you're having fun, aren't you... Well, I don't."

"You, out of all people, don't find it fun?"

In the past, yes I might have, I would've enjoyed myself with the fact that I am winning and would scream in despair when I lost. It wasn't only the memories of the past Veldora, I too, enjoyed blood-boiling fights in the Cultivation world.

Yet what?

Something like that doesn't exist anymore.

"If I die, I know there would someone who would mourn for me. Some would be disappointed, some would feel they just lost their guardian deity, and some would hold their anger since they don't exactly know what to do. I learn many things by looking into a human's common sense. And that luxury of enjoying a fight... I don't think I have it anymore."

What would Rimuru do if I died?

Probably angry, I already established the soul corridor with him. So had anything happened to it, either Rimuru or I would've reacted negatively.

I've also seen the goblins who worship me without even my awareness or the Dryads who keep paying their respect to me even though they are not my subordinate in the first place.

"Hmm, is that what you think? If you did that I guess you learned a lot, but... I think you're taking that 'human common sense' into account too much."

"...what do you mean?"

The demon lord stands up and dusts himself, snapping his fingers in the process and bringing down the barrier. Is he going to end our fights here? That's not like him at all...

"Like I said, you're overthinking it. That Human common sense you loved so much... You have even forgotten that you're not a human in the first place. If you or any of your subordinates died, then just revive them."

My eyes went wide. Revive? Seriously? Wait... In a way, he's right. Yeah... That should be enough. Someone of my caliber, just how did I not think of that?

If anyone died, then I just need to revive them.

"I see..."
