"And where is this Sergeant Horace at the moment?" Velmund inquired, hands steepling.
"After he was apprehended by the City Watch, I was told he was thrown into the dungeons. But I fear his position in the army will allow him a less severe sentence."
"Do you have witnesses to attest to your statement?"
"He has, young master…" said a familiar voice from a silhouette behind the window. "I was among the patrol unit who responded to the sergeant's drunken rampage. He caused quite the ruckus in Emma's inn, I can vouch for that. Horace sucked them dry of liquor and even harassed some female customers. He missed the whorehouse two blocks apart."

Anyway, I pride myself into thinking that I produce quite the smart characters for the LRC novel. However, I'm having doubts that I am bias on my own capabilities. I'm not that smart irl, so as readers, do you think I deliver their characterization well? Especially Velmund and his intellect?
