Ram was one of the people in whom Hera had placed her hope. Given her situation, her options were limited. Since she had heard no word from Deborah, she wanted to believe their plan was underway. But alas, all hopes went down the drain in one minute.
How silly, she thought.
"Hera, this is your uncle, Ram," Dragon stood between Hera and Ram, introducing the two of them. "He already knew about your condition and what happened. So, it's alright."
"Hera." Ram's eyes softened as he reached for her hand, gazing down at it with an affectionate smile. "You're really here," he whispered, relief evident in his eyes. "I can't believe this."
Hera stared at the pair of affectionate eyes mirroring her face. Her lips were formed into a thin line. She had never met this man in her life, but many of the memories in her mind recognized him.
