"If you're only going to tell me things that I already know, then I advise you to conserve that energy instead. I don't plan to stay and look after you forever. Go back to sleep."
Hunter clenched his teeth, perplexed by Fig's apparent lack of urgency. But if the man already said he knew about Hera's situation and still hadn't done anything, then there was nothing Hunter could do. As Hunter was about to find a comfortable spot on the bed, he looked back at Fig one more time.
"I'm going to say this in case you didn't know yet," he said quietly. "I had this secret device installed in my cufflinks. It's that small. Something one wouldn't notice immediately. It's a device to alert my boss about my situation. We can only use it one time."
Fig cocked his head to the side, this time curious. "And?"
"I used it at that time." Hunter relaxed his body on the bed, eyes on the ceiling. "That time I knew I was in trouble. But no one came to help."
