The two girls in the dormitory were timid, stealing glances at Gu Yang but hesitant to greet her.
However, Gu Yang wasn't just any child; she was a top psychologist who could easily connect with them. Before long, she had coaxed the girls into calling her "sister" and even checked their household registers.
The two girls were named Huahua and Duoduo. Both had been abandoned and raised in the orphanage.
The food in the orphanage was sparse and often of poor quality. Sometimes, if they arrived late, there wouldn't be enough left to eat, which explained their constant hunger.
To help forge a bond, Gu Yang shared her snacks with Huahua and Duoduo.
The next day, early in the morning, Huahua and Duoduo eagerly dragged Gu Yang to the canteen for breakfast.
"Sister Yangyang, it's Wednesday! Breakfast is a big meat bun!" Huahua exclaimed, gesturing excitedly with her fingers, nearly drooling at the thought.
