Two classes later, Scarlett and Jack were chilling in the cafeteria, their conversation interrupted by the arrival of Lucius. A slice of cake was served to him, a delightful duo of strawberry and chocolate. Scarlett stole a glance at it, quickly averting her gaze to stifle a giggle.
"Uncle, got a moment later?" Jack asked.
Lucius, spooning his cake, responded nonchalantly, "What's up?"
"Let's fly kites," Jack proposed.
"You guys go ahead," Lucius declined, not keen on running around like a hare.
Scarlett, not wanting Jack to feel let down, suggested, "We can try other ways."
Lucius, while not interested in joining, offered a strategy, "I'll ask Mr. Chan to bring out the leaf blower."
He was of the firm belief that without wind, a kite wouldn't fly. Otherwise, why call it a wind-kite? Just 'kite' would suffice.
