Capítulo 62: 61: The War that never happened.

.

- Bryan's P.O.V -

.

I floated above the Forks with Wanda beside me, the same town, I spent most of my life. The only difference was a beautiful glass house where dozens of cold, stone-hard, gorgeous? People were gathering.

These cold people were the apex predators of this Verse, the Vampires. The dangerous and bloodthirsty monsters that sparkle like a disco ball under the sun instead of burning like the vampires of other universes usually do.

"What are we doing here really?" I asked Wanda in an exasperated voice, making her giggle.

"I just want the war between Cullens and Volturi to happen, unlike the original where Aro ran away like the coward he is after knowing his death from Alice's vision," Wanda explains the reason why we are here.

"You know when you said you wanted to come to this world, I thought you want to watch the romance of Bella and Edward with your own eyes, not to make them fight where there are chances of them all dying," I spoke with a deadpan expression, causing Wanda to tilt her head in confusion.

"What do you mean by all of 'em dying?" Wanda worded her confusion.

I chuckled at her adorable action before replying to her, "Ya know, Alice's vision was one of the many possibilities that could have happened in this war, whether she didn't see the other possibilities, or Bella shielded them from Aro, I didn't how they did it, but there were more chances of Cullens losing then there were chances of them winning." My explanation caused Wanda to fall into her thoughts.

"Ohh! I got an idea! When Cullens's side will be losing, we will descend from the sky like Gods and save them." Wanda said in an excited tone, her words caused me to look at her weirdly.

"I didn't know you had a God-Complex…" I said with a blank expression which elicited a giggle from Wanda.

"We are more of a God than Thor and Loki, and as for having a God-Complex, have you ever seen a human with Human-Complex? No! Of course not because it's completely natural for a human to think like…well human. The same thing applied to Gods, they cannot have God-Complex because they are already God!." Wands reasoned with a confident smile.

"That's reasonable…" I muttered with my lips twitching at her explanation.

Of course, I didn't agree with her, but I niether argued back, nor denied her as I'm at a phase where I long stopped worrying about developing a God-Complex.

"But you know, if we killed Aro and Volturi there will be no other power stopping Vampires from blatantly killing and drinking humans' blood," I questioned again which made Wanda fall into her thoughts again and after thinking for some time, she replied. "Well…we can plant a suggestion in vampire's venom to keep hiding and staying away from humans' sight."

"Hmm, that's a good plan." I agreed with a hum.

"I feel a "but" coming," Wanda said with a pout that made me laugh.

"But! I have a better plan." I replied after I stopped laughing.

"And I also feel that you are not going tell me what that plan is?" Wanda questioned again.

"Ahh! You know me so well my dear wife." I said with a teasing smile.

"Whatever…" Wanda muttered while turning her head away, but I can see her ears turning red from my teasing.

Shaking my head I focused back on the drama below, where I saw Cullens moving when it is time for the Volturi to arrive, the Cullens and their witnesses, all gather and met in a large, snow-covered field, some looking tense, some scared and some…excited like the duo Vampire whose names I don't know.

I can hear Volturi coming from some distance-who am I kidding, I could hear them since they were in their base in Italy.

It did not take long for Aro and his army to become visible and it was clear that they outnumber the Cullens and their witnesses, I watched as Aro confidently walk towards the Cullens.

- Third P.O.V -

.

Edward watches Aro as they walk towards them. "Aro's looking for Alice," Edward spoke to Carlisle as he read Aro's mind.

Carlisle nodded and watched Aro and his army getting closer.

We see the wolf packs coming out to join the Cullens and their witnesses, Jacob in his wolf form comes and stands next to Bella, Renesmee and Edward.

Aro and his army stand in a line facing the Cullens and their witnesses, Carlisle walks forward.

"Aro, Let us discuss things as we used to. In a civilized manner." Carlisle said as he slowly walked towards the Volturi.

"Fair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us." Aro said, his cold red eyes scanning the vampires behind Carlisle

"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken." Carlisle said in a placating manner.

"We see the child. Do not treat us as fools." Caius hissed while looking at Renesmee.

"She is not an lmmortal! These witnesses can attest to that. Or you can look. See the flush of human blood in her cheeks." Carlisle hurriedly explained seeing the vampires behind Aro ready to fight.

"Artifice!" Caius took his eyes away from Renesmee hiding behind Bella and shouted back at Carlisle.

"I will collect every facet of the truth. But from someone more central to the story. Edward, as the child clings to your newborn mate, I assume you are involved." Aro questions Edward with his usual perverted smile, making Edward looks at Bella and then make his way towards Aro.

Bella watches Edward walk towards Aro, she uses her powers to shield Edward.

As Edwards reaches Aro he extends his hand, Aro takes it and uses his power to read his thoughts and realizes that Renesmee is not an immortal child.

"I'd like to meet her," Aro said to Edward who nodded and looks at Bella and Renesmee, then Bella, Renesmee, and Jacob, joined by Emmett walk towards Aro.

Bryan who was watching this snorted, seeing Edward let someone who was just a minute ago wad hellbent on killing his daughter see and inspect the very same daughter.

"Ah. Young Bella. Immortality becomes you." Aro questioned Bella a smile, who ignored his question.

Aro smiles and then shrieks with laughter as he hears Renesmee's heart beating.

"I hear her strange heart." Aro excitedly shouts as his smile becomes even bigger.

Aro holds out his hand and Renesmee walks closer to him. "Hello, Aro." And greeted with a maturity not matching her stature.

Renesmee then touches Aro's cheek, using her powers on him, Aro becomes transfixed by what she shows him.

"Magnifico! Half mortal, half immortal. Conceived and carried by this newborn while she was still human." Aro shouts again after coming out of his trance.

"Impossible!" Caius subconsciously denied the notion which made Aro turn his head towards his direction and question. "Do you think they fooled me, brother?"

Bella, Edward and Renesmee walk back to join the other witnesses after seeing Aro discussing with other leaders of his Coven.

Caius then asked someone to bring the Denali Coven women who notified them of the immortal child, once she was brought there, Caius interrogated her. The woman tried to explain, but Caius was done with her lousy explanation and proceeded to break her neck, and lit her body with fire.

The other member of the Denali Coven shouted and tried to run to help their member, but were stopped by others.

"Aro, you see there's no law broken here," Carlisle spoke again once Edward and others made it back to their side.

"Agreed. But does it then follow that there is no danger? For the first time in our history, humans pose a threat to our kind. Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us. Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative. In such perilous times, only the known is safe. Only the known is tolerable. And we know nothing of what this child will become. Can we live with such uncertainty? Spare ourselves a fight today, only to die tomorrow." Aro explained which made Bryan snort again.

And the reason for that is quite simple, human technology is not advanced enough to kill vampires who are faster than the fastest bullet trains the humans have invented till now, and as for Nuclear…well how many will they launch, the vampires are spread in every corner of the planet. And somehow even one of the vampires survived, he can just create hundreds of new vampires in a few days.

Back to the scene, two figures emerge from the nearby woods and walked up to the smiling Aro.

Edward realizes it's Alice and Jasper, and called out worriedly, "Alice."

"Alice!" Aro also called, quite happy to finally see Alice.

As Alice and Jasper walk up to Aro and his army, two of Aro's guards stop them.

"My dear, dear Alice, we're so glad to see you here, after all," Aro said with his smile wider than usual.

"I have evidence the child won't be a risk to our kind," Alice said in a serious tone, unlike her bubbly personality.

Aro looks at her with suspicion, which made Alice open her mouth again. "Let me show you."

Alice extends her hand, as Aro motions for his guards to let Alice go.

"Brother?" Caius worriedly called, but was ignored by Aro.

Alice walks up to Aro and he takes hold of her hand. In the original timeline, Aro saw his own death in Alice's vision which caused him to run away with his tail caught between his legs, but here Bryan interrupted with his powers and made him unable to see his own death, only his allies which made Aro proceed with the War.

As Aro reads her thoughts, Alice realizes that Aro won't change his mind.

"It doesn't matter what I show you. Even when you see. You still won't change your decision."

At that moment Alice turn, looks over to Bella and whispers. "Now!"
