Capítulo 18: 18: Reaction, Battle, and The Aftermath.

The Time Square like everyday was packed with public. People were going with their livelihood like usual when the screens of Time Square started changing and showing a news channel.
* Breaking News*
" One of our reporters who was in Sokovia just sent a request to a live feed, he's currently on the helicarier that hovering outskirts of the Novi Grad, he claiming that it's the end of the world. He said that the City of Novi Grad is currently floating more than ten kilometres above the ground, and the one doing this intends drop the city back towards the ground."
The people watched the news with disbelieving eyes, as the City of Novi Grad started falling they subconsciously held their breath, each second the falling city getting bigger in camera's view.
The frozen people slowly came out of their shocked state and started panicking. Some called their loved ones, some just stood there seemingly accepting their fate, some started crying and screaming.
The same thing happened all over the world, Even the Government didn't to anything to take down the news, as most of their people were also going with the same reaction.
As the people were falling in depth of despair, one person who had already accepted his fate suddenly shouted and pointed his shaky finger at the screen
"Look!!! Iah-I think the the City is slowing down" He said with a stutter, but his voice had a hopeful tone. His loud voice travelled to the surrounding people, causing them quickly turned their faces to the screen and observed carefully. Slowly other people started to voicing the same thing.
And as if the God heard there prayers, the also Camera zoomed-in the sky, and showed a Man holding the city in blue skin tight suit with his red cap madly fluttering in the air.
The footage wasn't clear and didn't show the Man's face, but it didn't take long for people to guess the Man's identity. After falling few more kilometres the City came to a halt, and streaming footage also got much clearer, finally showing their Saviour's face. The people all around world released a thunderous applause.

~Few Minutes Prior~

Bryan was reading an old book he borrowed from Kamar Taj, he had already read this book before but the content so good that he didn't mind reading it few more times, with a peaceful expression Bryan continued to read the book for the whole morning, and only moved to get his beloved coffee. And just as he was going to continue reading, his peaceful time got interrupted by the loud ringing sound of the phone.
Turning his head to left, he saw the phone Tony gave was ringing again. Bryan summoned the phone with his Telekinesis after clicking his tongue.
"What happened now?" Bryan questioned.
"Hmm nothing just the end of the world" Tony's word caused Bryan to frown, he quickly spread his senses out. And the results only made his frown bigger.
Bryan only paid a bit attention on the Avengers battle, and after giving Pietro a temporary speed boost so he can survive the "Bullets", he stopped paying attention because he saw the battle going the same as the original movie
"I'm coming" Bryan said and hung up the call.

—— Novi Grad, Sokovia ——

The city was in Chaos with the Avengers fighting Ultron bots while simultaneously getting the public out of the city.
Nick Fury's arrival did help them, with multiple the big evacuation drones dropping from the helicarier, it was easy to evacuate the populace outside the city.
The Avenger's fight with Ultron was easy, although his Vibranium body was tough to damage, the Avengers still did a number on him.
Ultron after escaping the Avengers got on a jet started shooting the evacuating people, but Thor stopped him from doing so. Ultron the flew back the jet and sent dozen more bots at Thor to stop him from following him.
Ultron manages to find Clint who was helping a child to escape and fired the jet's machine gun at him.
Clint saw the incoming jet, he closed his eyes and tried to shield the boy's body with his own, but the expected result didn't came, instead he felt himself moved to another location with an incredible speed. Opening his eyes he saw the smug face of the speedster
"you didn't see that coming" Pietro commented mockingly, with his smug getting even bigger.
Pietro then moved to help the child but a sharp pain on his leg froze him.
"And you didn't see that huh" Clint questioned and pointed at Pietro's thigh that has gotten gazed slightly from a bullet. Before Pietro can reply to Clint, Ultron return back and started firing again. Pietro even with his injured wound manages to move them outside of the firing range.
Ultron tried to turn back the jet again, but a red energy blast destroyed the jet, and sent him flying back to the ground. Wanda lands beside the trio, and shields them from the explosion.
Ultron seeing Wanda busy tried to stand and flew away but the Hulk landed on his back.
Hulk separated Ultron's both arms and threw them away. Ultron tried to say something but Wanda destroyed his energy source, and with him cut off from the internet, he had no choice but to possess one of the Ultron bots.
From that point, there was nothing but a massacre. The Avengers destroyed the remaining bots with slight effort, but Ultron still launched the city into the sky.
Thor tried to destroy the City with his Lightning but failed. Unlike the Original timeline, Ultron didn't just launched a big chunk of the city in sky, but the whole city of Novi Grad itself. Tony had to call Bryan after seeing Thor fail, but Tony wasn't sure if even Bryan can do something in this situation.
The Avengers also got on the helicarier after evacuating the remaining people, and waited for Bryan.
It did not take long before Bryan arrived above the helcarier. The first thing he noticed was, obviously the falling city, but what confused him was, that Ultron shouldn't have nearly enough Vibranium to pull off something like that.
Bryan quickly found Ultron's consciousness that was trying escape in one of the remaining bots. He teleported Ultron to his location, and read his mind. From what he found out, Ultron got the information about Wakanda from clause and stole some more Vibranium from there.
After finding the reason, Bryan destroyed Ultron's consciousness with a mental attack, and flew towards the falling city.
Bryan could have instantly stopped the city from falling but the force behind the momentum would have destroyed city and made big chunks of it fall separately from the city. So he first slow down the momentum of the city, and slowly stopped the city mid, when it was only a kilometre away from the ground.
After stopping the city in mid air, he slowly lowers it city down, towards its original location.
Placing the city back, Bryan had already covered the whole city with Telekinesis while it was falling, he didn't want to further damage the city's building.

Saying that the people boarded the helicarier were in Awe was an understatement, even the Avengers couldn't hide their feelings.
They all knew Bryan was strong but this, this is ludicrous. It's unimaginable, because a normal human can't even catch something weighting 10kg falling from the third floor, but this man, this man caught a city weighing billions of ton, and the most shocking part was, he didn't even looked like he was trying.
The awe of people slowly turned in devotion as Bryan slowly flew towards the Helicarier, they formed a circle around where Bryan was going to land, their arms stretched towards him, like he was some kind of messiah.
Bryan didn't mind their action and let them touch him, but what he didn't know was that he caused a major reaction to all over the world with his action and show of power, they all started consider him something more than a Man, something like a… God.

—— Few Weeks Later ——

The following weeks after the fall of Ultron was hectic to say least, the Avengers were bombarded with questions like never before.
Every where they go, disguised or not, the paparazzis will find them, and start throwing questions at them, obviously most of them were about Bryan, as Bryan never made an appearance in public places like rest of the Avengers, and people's curiosity about him was all time high, after all he literally saved the world. People were always curious about him but now that curiosity has become devotion. With many men and women publicly announcing their undying love for him, specially many women who can't get enough of the hottest man according to them.
This also made a certain brunette bite her nails in jealousy, how dare they eye her man.
Yes, Wanda already considered Bryan her man after he saved her brother. She was already thinking about him all time, and saving her brother was the final nail in the coffin. How did she knew? Simple, his unique Aura was all over her brother that day, and with her brother mentioning that he was somehow three times faster that day, also confirmed her guess.
With public going so crazy, the World Security Council had no choice but request Bryan to make a public appearance and answer some questions. But Bryan immediately denied their request and told them to not disturb him for such stupid reason.
The World Security Council were stumped with his answer, and with each passing day the public were becoming increasingly frustrated with their lack responses. Seeing that the situation getting out of their control, they had no choice but to beg the person who has the most contact with Bryan: Nick Fury.
And Nick Fury, like the SOABW(Son of a beautiful woman) he is, didn't waited even a second to rub in their face, but the nonetheless he accepted their request-no more like their begging, after squeezing them dry by making them sign many of his future plans.

"Fu*k" that's the first word Nicholas Joseph Fury said after reaching Bryan's door.
He couldn't help but cuss his stupid a*s past self, it's easy to gloat in front of some old farts, but to pester someone like Bryan to do something he already denied. Yeah he doesn't need to say the result.
Well, what's the worst thing that could happen, he might loose his remains eye. After cussing himself few more times, Fury knocked the door and waited patiently. It didn't take long for Bryan to open the gate, as he already knew Fury coming miles away.
"Ahh Fury, what made you come here after so long, I heard you already retired from Steve?" Bryan asked Fury, he can already guess why Fury came here though. These weeks have not been easy for his Telepathy training.
"I did retire from the Shield, but not the work itself" Fury answered Bryan's question.
"Hmm good for you I guess, so what can I help you with?" Bryan question again
"You already know, why make this difficult for me" Fury said and raised his arms in a surrendering gesture.
"Well, you definitely milked those old timers, so at least try to make me accept their proposal" Bryan teased the one eyed man.
Fury didn't say anything else, just started Bryan with his remaining eye.
"Fine fine, I was already planning to do it, no need to stare me like that."
"You were?" Fury question with a surprised tone.
"Yes. I was." Bryan affirmed.
"Why, didn't you already denied to members of the Council." Fury questioned again.
"Yes I did, but I watched one of those talk shows and got interested, so I thought why not do a interview on a talk show" Bryan word surprised Fury. The man always considered Bryan a sage who has no worldly interest, but listening that not only Bryan know about modern shows but also watch them, this is a big surprise for the bald man.
"Which talk show you want to be interviewed on" Fury asked.
"Jimmy Fallon, I like that guy, let's go with his show" Bryan said and walked back to his house.
"I'll arrange everything and inform you the timing in a week" Fury said to leaving Bryan and left too.
