Capítulo 16: The Contract
<In summary, the Great one just confirmed that you are the Chosen One> The tortoise said.
"Huh? The chosen one?" Orpheus blinked his eyes in confusion "What's that?"
<You see that? He doesn't so clueless that he doesn't even know what he is> Azure said.
<Azure, you really have to calm down> the tiger said before turning back to Orpheus <Human, you know about how we arrived on this planet, right?>
"I prefer you call me Orpheus, but yes" Orpheus nodded.
<Okay, Orpheus. You see, immediately after we were birthed, the Great one told us that the reason we were born here.> Crimson said.
"Which is?" Orpheus asked.
<To save the life of mortals and the universe as a whole.> Crimson answered.
<In addition, the universe will not be saved by us but by someone else. And our only job is to assist him or her> The tortoise added <but we never expected it to be a human>
"So, what y'all are trying to say is, I'm the one you are meant to assist for whatever you are saying?" Orpheus asked again.
<Exactly, that is correct.> the tiger confirmed.
[I told you special]
"What... the... hell!" Orpheus yelled "That is absolutely impossible. Really, look at me. I'm a weakling and a late bloomer. I cannot even defeat a low-level junior magus in a fight."
<He's right about that> Azure nodded.
<Um, Orpheus, you have to calm down so you can process this information> The tortoise said.
"I cannot process this kind of information!" Orpheus yelled back at him "How can someone who just acquired abilities by luck be the Chosen one in some kind of prophecy?"
<I guess you're right, but you cannot run away from destiny> the tiger said.
[Look boy, I suggest you try hard to accept this no matter what. If not, you'll have to accept it the hard way in the future]
"How the hell am I... Fine!" Orpheus grunted in frustration "What am I now supposed to do after this?"
<Well, we are supposed to form a contract with you, but we do not know how> Crimson said.
"You can ask the universe if you do not know how to do it. I have to finish my quest and return to the academy" Orpheus suggested.
<You can return then. No one is stopping you> Azure shrugged.
<Azure, why are you so hot blooded?> The tortoise asked <By the way, what is your quest?>
"Well, it's for us to collect as many elemental cores as possible and return immediately."
<Wait a minute, are you trying to say that there are other humans on this planet?> the tiger asked.
"Not what I'm saying, but yes" Orpheus nodded.
<Shit! We have to get this thing done fast> Crimson cursed <Hey, ask the guy within you if he has any idea on making a contract. We can't speak to the Great one as we just spoke to it a moment ago>
"How did you..." Orpheus asked in surprise.
<Just ask him! We have no time to waste> the tiger urged.
~Hey, you heard them, right? ~

[Huh? Oh sorry, I was just startled at how they found me out so easily]
~Whatever, do you know how to do it? ~
[Hmm, I think I still remember the process]
<What did he say?> The tortoise asked.
"Uh, he says he still remembers the process" Orpheus answered. "Why are you all in such a hurry?"
<After we have met the Chosen one, the barrier that stopped us from being discovered will be taken down. Anyways, how do we do the stuff?> Crimson said?
"He asks if any of you can draw an array" Orpheus said.
Immediately he asked the question, they all raised their limbs.
"How come you all know how to draw an array, but don't know how to perform the contract process?" Orpheus asked in surprise.
<The Great one taught us how to draw something and called it an 'array'> the tortoise said <Perhaps, it was for this purpose>
"A'ight, cool" Orpheus nodded ~Hey, what's the next step~
[Tell them to draw the array on your back and around you with their blood as the paint. Afterwards, they should direct their energy to the arrays with you at the center. As for you, direct the energy from the array to the one at your back. Then, the contraction should begin]
~How do I direct the energy? ~
[When the time comes, you'll know how. Just tell them what I said. Also, no one should stop the energy fusion halfway no matter what. If not, it will harm you]
~Okay~
[One more thing. Mind you, the process is a little bit painful. I suggest you sit in the lotus position during the energy fusion]
~Sure, thanks~

Orpheus relays Costas' instructions to the four beasts as they began the process immediately. A while later, Orpheus sits at the center of four arrays while the other four began to fuse their energies.
[Start fusing your energy with theirs now]
~Okay~ Orpheus nodded as he began following Costas' instruction.
Sometime after Orpheus began directing the energy, his face began to twist in pain as he grunts out loudly.
~Is this what you call a little bit painful? ~
[Sorry man, just endure it]
"Arrgghhh!" He yelled.

Somewhere else on planet Elektra, seven boys are fighting a horde of horned bats.
"I told you all that we cannot fight these guys. Now look at what we've put ourselves into" Ignatios, a skinny boy yelled.
"Just keep on using ranged spells. We'll get rid of them very soon" Alex yelled.
"That's what you have been saying since. I thought we are meant to be looking for the late bloomer" Fotis yelled.
"Fine! run along then!" Alex yelled "I'm going to get a many elemental cores as I can and sell it. Soon, I'll be stronger than Marios and free myself."
"Die then!" the rest of the six boys ran away and left Alex alone with the bats.
"Wait for me! Those pieces of shits!" Alex cursed and ran after them.
*Screech*
Seeing, their preys trying to escape, the bats let out a loud screech and flew after them. While the boys were running, one of them tripped on a stone and fell down.
"Help me!" he shouted.
"Shit! Cleon is in trouble" Fotis yelled.
"Leave him. He'll save himself" Alex said without staring back.
"But if Mr. Stylianos asks, what will we say?" Ignatios asked.
"Feign ignorance!" Proteus, another boy yelled.
"Help!! Don't leave me here!" Cleon yelled, seeing the boys leaving him.
"I'm sorry man, but we have to save our own lives!" Alex yelled back.
"Damn you... Arrgghh!" the bats caught up with Cleon and immediately began to attack him.
"I see a cave ahead! Head for it!" Ignatios gestured at a cave far away as the boys ran towards it, ignoring the screams from their friend behind them.
"Damn you all! I swear, I get back at you all for this even if it's in the afterlife" Cleon yelled from a distance at the retreating back of the six boys.

<Man, I cannot believe I'm doing this shit> Azure grunted.
<Stop speaking Azure. He's trying to concentrate> the tiger hushed him.
<And so, what?> Azure said.
<Shut up> the rest of them said.
"Aarrgh!" Orpheus grunts out as he feels a sharp pain in his back.
The pain continues to grow rapidly as the temperature around Orpheus rose drastically to the point that the ground around him began to char. All of a sudden, his shirt begins to burn to ashes as a strong gust of wind began to blow, creating a wind vortex around him.
<What is going on?> Azure asked.
<I absolutely do not know> the tortoise said.
<You all should please shut up. The energy is getting harder to control> Crimson said.
"Shit!" Orpheus cursed as his back began to throb uncontrollably in pain.
A while later after the wind began to blow, the clouds turned dark as lightning bolts began to flash around Orpheus. In the midst of the storm, his body began to emit a purple mist, making the area around him darker by a large margin.
<I ask again, what is going on?!> Azure yelled.
<He's awakening our elements and at the same time, increasing the strength of the dark element within him> Crimson pointed out.
<Do not get distracted. He should be entering the final stage> the tiger announced.
<I must say this boy is really special> the tortoise muttered.
[Orpheus!! You must stay conscious]
"I... I... I'm trying" Orpheus tried to ignore the pain.
"Aaarrgh!!" Orpheus shouts in pain again as the pain in his back increases. A kite shape begins to form gradually on his back with the drawing of the four guardian beasts at its corners with the White tiger at the top, Phoenix at the bottom and the dragon and Tortoise at each side. While the image was forming, the arrays around him begins to glow in different colors with respect to the elements of the four guardian beasts.
<It feels like my soul is leaving my body!> Azure yelled as the energy he was emitting decreased.
<Same here! For some reason, my body is moving towards the drawing on his back like a magnet> Crimson yelled.
<Do not get distracted. We still have to continue unless, you want to harm him> the tiger said.
<I can't hear any of you amidst the storm!> the tortoise yelled.
The storm around Orpheus intensifies along with the strange feeling the beasts felt. After a while, the storm subsides as the arrays drawn around disintegrated into tiny particles that merged into the drawing on the back of Orpheus with the four beasts nowhere to be seen. After the contracting had finished, the pain on his back subsides as he fell unconscious.
[Well, it was not meant to turn out like this. He really is special]

Azure------> Azure Dragon
Black ------> Black Tortoise
I decided to name them this because putting tortoise, tiger said is stressful. I'll start calling them this from now on
