Barry shuddered. He could feel the burden of their gaze on him.
"I... I did not see him." he bowed, earning gasps from many.
Ben's eyes were cold and squinted to form a slit as he stared at the traitor. He had done so much for this child only to get a refusal in return.
"Even if he would have said yes, I would have put both of you in prison. Do you think his words could sway my judgment?" Cassian scoffed as if he had heard a joke.
Ben bit his lips hard. Blood filled his mouth but he did not have a word to refute. He was still pinning the blame on Barry to make himself feel better. But Cassian rubbed raw truth on his face.
His face changed color between red and pale as reality dawned on him. He was trapped from the start.
And Cassian was only giving him a chance to ask others so that he could find compliance.
