"Phew! I am so tired that I can not feel my own feet." Mary winced in pain when the maid rubbed her feet, taking them out of the warm water.

She danced so much in her high heels, then attended the guests until the morning dawned. She did not remember how the night ended. All she remembered was the file in her hands.

She stood up suddenly startling the maids who were still rubbing her feet.

"I have an urgent matter to discuss with Cassian. You may leave." Everyone blinked. Mary was standing in her nightgown because she asked them to change her into something comfortable.

"Oh! Yes, my lady." The maids scurried out of the room immediately.

"Daisy, I want you to not leave Alec alone." the girl bowed confidently, relieved that she was not scorned anymore.
