Capítulo 112: Their Dark Past

"Ren, if you ever want to meet the child, I can arrange that. But what if he recognized you?" Vincent slowly rubbed her stiff shoulders when she sighed.

It had been ages since he had seen her broken. He had forgotten that she could be vulnerable at times.

"You know I am not a fool, Vince. You do not need to make a fuss about it. Did you give papers to Mary?" the man nodded as he stirred the horse towards the dark path.

The dark path! He laughed at the thought. They belong to the dark. Never could they be seen by the eyes of others, or walk in broad daylight. That was the path they had chosen.

But if it was for her, it was worth it. They have found strange freedom on this confined path. Four fingers in his hand reminded him.

"Are you thinking about the past?" she touched his ring finger with a gentle and reassuring smile.

"I am jealous of Cassian." He shrugged when she sighed.
