Capítulo 58: A Strange Reply

"I won't be swayed by that sweet talk. It would be better if you play the game fairly." She did not wait for his reply as she took the bidding from her and placed it on his eyes.

He did not resist her. Once done, she held his shoulders and twirled him a few times before leaving.

She stood in the corner and watched Alec play. He looked thrilled but anxious as he kept looking around. But when he noticed her gaze, he relaxed.

He finally smiled and played better. She shook her head at the level of trust he was showing.

  The director approached with a worried face.

"My lady! Can I have a minute with you?" She nodded and followed him to the corner. 

My lady, I have just taken over the orphanage. It has only been a week and I am trying my best to make things better. But miracles did not happen in a day." She sighed as she understood the man's worries.
