Chapter 2: Martial Soul Awakening
"Oh? You want to awaken your martial soul?"
Yu Xiaogang was surprised when he heard Qi Ling's request.
"You have such strong soul power fluctuations, yet you haven't awakened your martial soul?"
Though Yu Xiaogang himself had a flaw in his innate martial soul that prevented him from ever breaking through level 30, his knowledge of martial souls was unparalleled.
He could see at a glance that Qi Ling's soul power was surging, even stronger than most soul masters who had already obtained spirit rings.
This was undoubtedly a sign of innate full soul power.

As soon as the guard at the door saw the token, he rushed inside to report, nearly tripping over himself in his haste. Not long after, an elderly man dressed in red greeted Qi Ling, accompanied by two younger individuals, a man and a woman.
The elderly man in red examined the token in Qi Ling's hand, seemingly verifying its authenticity.
After confirming it, he smiled warmly at Qi Ling.

Sisi, take him to awaken his martial soul," the old man instructed.
The young woman named Sisi then led Qi Ling into a room. In the centre of the room was a table with a black base holding a transparent gem that looked incredibly valuable.
"This is the precious jade used specifically for awakening martial souls in the Martial Soul Hall.
You just need to place your hand on this jade, and with the guidance of the spirit master in charge, your martial soul will be awakened smoothly," Sisi explained gently to Qi Ling.
She seemed quite fond of the handsome young boy before her.
Unfortunately for Sisi, Qi Ling was no shy little boy, but rather a straight-laced man with no time for pleasantries. He looked at Sisi and, unimpressed by her nagging, said bluntly, "Auntie, can we get on with this? I'm in a hurry."
"A-Auntie?!" Sisi was stunned.
With her beauty, she couldn't believe she was being called an auntie!
"Young man, I'm not an auntie,I'm your sister," Sisi tried to explain, but Qi Ling had already placed his hand on the awakening stone, ignoring her entirely.
Annoyed but with no other choice, Sisi suppressed her frustration and began the awakening process, guiding her soul power into the stone.
After all, her teacher was present, watching from the sidelines.
No matter how irritated she was, she had to continue with her work.
But in the next moment, Sisi's irritation vanished, replaced by shock and fear!
The previously transparent and flawless awakening stone suddenly emitted an extraordinarily dazzling blood-red light! At the same time, the entire gem seemed to be flooded with ink, gradually turning into a deep red!
A terrifying, bloodthirsty aura filled the room, and a ferocious demonic phantom appeared in the air! The demon had an extremely ugly head with two pairs of thick horns, and behind its muscular body, two massive black bat wings were slightly spread, as if the very devil of hell had descended upon the world!
Though it was just a phantom, the terrifying aura it exuded left the three people in the room paralysed with shock, unable to move.
The old man in red trembled as he muttered to himself,
"By the heavens, what is this?"
Qi Ling was the only one who remained calm.
He frowned slightly and asked the old man, "Hey, do you have another awakening stone here?"
"Ah? Yes, yes," the old man in red replied subconsciously.
"If you do, then bring it out,I feel like there's something else inside me," Qi Ling said.
The old man in red was stunned.
Could it be that there was another martial soul within Qi Ling that hadn't yet emerged? And could it possibly be as terrifying as this demon?
Without wasting any time, the old man in red immediately turned to the young man.
"Su Yuntao, hurry! Bring the spare awakening stone!"
Su Yuntao snapped out of his shock and quickly brought the spare awakening stone to Qi Ling.
Qi Ling stretched out his other hand and placed it on the new stone.
Instantly, a majestic and overwhelming aura radiated from the stone, as if it was looking down upon the world! The entire stone glowed with a brilliant golden light, evoking a feeling of reverence and awe.
Above the stone, the phantom of a dragon appeared! Its immense body coiled in the air, too long to see from end to end.
But from the sight of its awe-inspiring dragon head alone, one could feel the supreme majesty that demanded obedience.
The dragon and the demon cast the entire room into a world of half-gold and half-red, seemingly locked in a battle of wills.
Everyone in the room felt as though they were caught in a vortex of immense power, in danger of being crushed at any moment.
This overwhelming sensation lasted until Qi Ling withdrew his hand, causing the phantoms of the dragon and demon to vanish.
The old man in red was gasping for breath, drenched in sweat, as if he had just narrowly escaped death.
Seeing the state of those around him, Qi Ling figured they wouldn't have the energy to complete his soul master certification.
"Thank you for helping me awaken my martial soul.
I'll come back another day to take care of the rest," Qi Ling said with a hint of regret.
As soon as Qi Ling left, the two awakening stones shattered into powder!
The people in the Martial Soul Hall exchanged glances, stunned by the power they had just witnessed—power that even the awakening stones couldn't withstand.
It was like something out of a dream.
"Hurry, report this child's situation to the headquarters of the Spirit Hall! This child is either a peerless genius or a peerless demon!" the old man in red said, still shaken.
"This world will undoubtedly be changed because of him!"
