CHAPTER 87

Shane sat against one of the chairs in the second living room in Jayden's mansion with his palm supporting his jaw, thinking. 

'I guess you don't need my help again, little sis,' he thought to himself. 'With two men out there, ready to protect you, I guess I can rest a bit.'

Shane's mind drifted to the previous night. He had gone to Skai's place as he always did when he wasn't occupied, to keep an eye on things before retiring for the night.

But yesterday, he heard something different. Although he had no idea how everything panned out, he understood people were there to protect his sister. 

He picked up his glass of champagne and swirled the liquid before lowering his gaze to it. 

'Skai, what can I do for you, little sis?' he pondered. 

He took a sip of the drink and then lowered the cup to peer ahead. At the far end of the wall opposite him, a family frame sat in the middle.
