Capítulo 41: Grandmaster Fabio

In a realm shrouded in impenetrable darkness, a fathomless entity of indiscernible countenance cavorted with grotesque abandon. Its movements, an affront to all natural laws, were bereft of elegance, cadence, or grace.

The abomination's elongated limbs writhed in terrifying contortions, grasping a staff forged from the very sinew of anguished spirits, their eyes, tongues, and viscera lamenting in unending torment. Beneath its gnarled extremities, immense and uncanny sanguine runes throbbed with maleficent sorcery.

Abruptly, the ghastly revelry ceased as five ebon sarcophagi, inscribed with cryptic, enigmatic runes, materialized from the umbral depths.

In a trice, the sarcophagi yawned open, discharging a sepulchral mist that pervaded the atmosphere. From within, cinco beings of unfathomable origin emerged, their intentions as inscrutable as the darkness itself.

The enigmatic entity, clutching its grisly scepter, intoned in a frigid, archaic dialect. Its voice reverberated with an eldritch resonance, "The Primeval Chronicles decree the inexorable fate of those who dare transgress the Hallowed Precepts."

In a flicker, the five beings of unfathomable origin dematerialized, and the realm was devoured entirely by the rapacious obscurity, bequeathing naught but a resounding stillness in its wake.

Kalinski had returned to the Daichetus Kingdom, his footsteps echoing through the dimly lit corridors as he made his way towards the most secure chamber in this clandestine location.

The atmosphere was thick with tension, the very air around him seeming disoriented and charged with the power of the unknown.

As he traversed the shadowy halls, he could feel the arcane energies of myriad spells swirling and pulsing erratically with every step he took. These spells guarded the chamber where his niece lay, their potency a testament to the gravity of her situation.

Upon reaching the door, Kalinski's gaze was drawn to the intricate runes etched into its surface, their patterns weaving a complex tapestry of protection.

He raised his hand and knocked gently, the door creaking open as if responding to his touch alone. Stepping inside, his eyes flickered with a ripple that might repulse an onlooker, betraying the darkness within him.

In the distance, his niece lay upon an artifact bed, its design both exquisite and intricate, adorned with magical runes that seemed to hum with power.

Surrounding her was a translucent, azure barrier that flickered like a dying flame, offering a semblance of protection.

She was still alive, but her emaciated form was a horrifying sight to behold. Her head was partially devoid of skin, revealing a skull with an uncanny green hue that seemed to pulse with malevolence.

This eerie coloration extended to other parts of her body, where the skin appeared to slough off on its own accord, leaving behind a trail of necrotic tissue.

The repugnant smell of yellow pus filled the air, an unbearable stench that would make most recoil in disgust. Yet, Kalinski showed no sign of discomfort as he gazed upon his niece's ghastly condition.

Kalinski contemplated pensively, his thoughts shrouded in concern. 'Her condition has deteriorated significantly for some inexplicable reason; she may only have a couple of months, or perhaps just a few weeks left.'

From the far side of the bed, a man with sunken eyes that harbored the formidable aura of a ferocious beast spoke in a hollow, lifeless tone, "What brings you here, Gavin?"

His chestnut hair elegantly framed a visage that seemed incongruous with his colossal, chiseled physique. The burden of his weariness hung heavily in the air, subtly hinting at the depths of his exhaustion.

"Do you have a moment, Fabio?" Kalinski inquired calmly, adding, "This is a favor I must ask of you."

Fabio's piercing gaze lingered on Kalinski for a moment before he acquiesced, "Fine, but make it swift."

"Follow me," Kalinski instructed as he led the way out of the room. Grandmaster Fabio trailed behind him, and once they were outside in a secluded location, they both vanished without a trace.

Under the cloak of night, atop the majestic manor, Gavin Kalinski and Grandmaster Fabio stood side by side. Their eyes radiated a faint, red, diaphanous luminescence of mana as they intently observed the training ground below.

The circular platform was immersed in the spectral illumination of a trio of moons, casting an otherworldly penumbra upon the tableau.

Positioned on the platform, a curvaceous maid with amethyst tresses and a man with striking disheveled dark crimson hair, brandishing a razor-edged dagger, readied themselves for combat.

The atmosphere was thick with anticipation as they adopted their battle stances, ready to prove their mettle.

"Why have you brought me here, Gavin?" Fabio inquired, his voice tinged with a hint of frostiness as he turned his gaze towards Kalinski.

"That man will join the Death Flower Party," Gavin responded, his eyes unwavering from the circular platform and the imminent duel, as he pondered quietly, 'Why is Aeris donning a maid's attire?'

Fabio regarded Gavin for a brief moment, his eyes narrowing in contemplation before directing his attention back to the circular platform.

His focus now entirely by the two combatants below as they prepared to engage in a fierce battle, the tension palpable in the air around them almost tangible.

With a swift lunge, Sucura brandished his dagger, its blade suffused with a sinister crimson mana. He aimed a lethal strike at Aeris's throat, but she deftly parried the attack with a forceful counter.

*Clang!*

The impact sent Sucura's dagger-wielding arm upward, momentarily exposing his vulnerable torso. Seizing the opportunity, Aeris advanced and unleashed a relentless barrage of stabs and slashes upon her opponent.

Undeterred, Sucura nimbly retreated, maintaining a safe distance as he parried and evaded Aeris's onslaught. His eyes remained sharply focused on her every subtle movement, keenly observing the shifting of her footsteps and the slightest twitch of her shoulders.

"Who is that man?" Fabio inquired, his eyes narrowing as he observed the fierce battle unfolding below them.

"Sucura, a fallen hero who was recently expelled," Gavin replied, casting a discreet glance at Fabio. 'He appears to be utterly disinterested in the turmoil engulfing the kingdom, his sole focus is on his ailing daughter. This unwavering devotion stems from a sacred promise he made to his beloved, late wife,' he contemplated, his gaze drifting back to the fierce combatants locked in battle upon the platform.

Sucura managed to put some distance between himself and Aeris. In response, she executed a series of slashes in the air, muttering, "[Vermillion Crescent Slash]," she unleashed a flurry of translucent violet crescent-shaped strikes at breakneck speed.

He deftly sidestepped each one, attempting to evade the relentless assault.

Despite his best efforts, numerous cuts materialized on Sucura's body, evidence that he couldn't entirely avoid Aeris's onslaught.

Blood seeped from his wounds, but Sucura remained composed, his eyes unwavering as he stared intently at his formidable opponent.

He lunged forward once more, and Aeris met him head-on. She executed a swift horizontal slash, aiming to cleave his body in two. Sucura leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding the attack.

As he did so, Aeris muttered, "[Aero Speed]," and her body spun like a whirlwind, moving at an incredible velocity. She slashed at Sucura while he was still airborne, her dagger a blur of motion.

Anticipating her move, Sucura deftly maneuvered mid-air using his own skill and delivered a devastating kick to Aeris's cheek. She was sent hurtling backward but managed to remain standing, blood seeping from her nose as she prepared for the next round of their intense duel.

Gavin appeared taken aback, yet he managed to conceal his astonishment. Silently, he pondered, 'Sucura's true strength resides in his untapped potential. In a mere few weeks, his aura has grown exponentially, and his combat abilities have advanced significantly, thanks in part to Aeris's expert guidance.'

'He managed to strike Aeris, who is at the pinnacle of the [Adept] rank, with such a modest aura. What might the outcome be if I were to train him in the coming weeks? Should I attempt to persuade him to remain?'

Gavin's attention was drawn back to the hidden training grounds, where he vividly recalled the unwavering determination in Sucura's eyes. It was a look that seemed to declare that no obstacle could deter him from venturing into the Accursed Forest. With a resigned sigh, Gavin conceded, 'If I push too hard, I may only succeed in earning his animosity.'

As Gavin pondered further, he couldn't help but recall the cryptic words Sucura had uttered during their intense sparring session: 'Family?' The significance of this enigmatic remark weighed heavily on Gavin's mind, leaving him to wonder what deeper motivations might be driving Sucura's relentless pursuit.

"Tell me, Gavin, what is your purpose?" Fabio inquired, his penetrating gaze unwaveringly fixed upon the man beside him.

The once captivating battle that raged below, upon the circular platform, had lost its allure, and Fabio's attention now meandered away from the ferocious combatants, their every clash and parry fading into insignificance.

Gavin regarded Fabio with a steady gaze and replied, "That man may require something from you. I intend to assist him, provided his requests that do not verge on the absurdity."

Fabio studied Gavin for a moment before conceding, "Very well. Every bit of help counts, after all. The forthcoming venture of the Death Flower Party commence in two days." He glanced down at the platform, where the victor of the fight had already become evident.

Gavin took a moment to contemplate the situation before giving a subtle nod, musing to himself, 'Fabio must be growing desperate. He's now dispatching groups of individuals into the Accursed Forest on a weekly basis, irrespective of their identities. It is my fervent hope that my unerring intuition proves to be accurate in this instance.'

With a swift, agile movement, Fabio descended onto the rooftop below, and Gavin promptly followed suit.
