/Almost half a day later…/
As the sun set on the horizon, the Raid team could be seen taking a slight rest as they sat on several large rocks overlooking a calm and crystalline lake, their second Major Waypoint after the tall tree on the hill.
And unlike their first waypoint, this lake had quite a bit of history.
It didn't have any rivers feeding onto it, in fact, it had none.
So the way it always maintained its overall water level had always been a mystery to those that took a slight moment to pay attention to it.
In the past, some of the founding members of the Southern Corps found a powerful current releasing water from below, signifying that the lake was fed by underground water reserves.
And by using the rivers that went all the way to the shore, the Corps would the Lake as a hub area for water transportation.

Dale Leveled up quite a bit, and albeit that wasn't within the original plans, I decided to stick with my world-building rather than just say Dale avoided all monsters or something.
Of course, I have no plans of making Dale leave this forest as a Level 80+ powerhouse, that would be a bit too fast, but I'll likely have him leave as a Level 60+ since that is close enough to most of the monsters of this area, making his Level somewhat close and reducing his Leveling speed.
Of course, it doesn't help Dale is defeating Boss Level monsters with Boss Level XP rewards...
Either way, this Arc will be a major pivoting point for the series as I planned before, and I was even starting to think I may have found a good point to end a Volume...
But that is for the future.
For now, if you liked how things came out, give me an honest reply:
Do you think Dale should continue to Level Up or that I should just jump to him arriving at the Tribe?
I did say that I would be making a lot of fights in this Arc as it was focused on this type of content, but in the end, the more I make Dale fight, the more Levels I have to give him.
As it would be too sad to have him fight for an entire chapter only to have Testros interfere and give him 0 XP.
