Capítulo 20: Message II

"Is everyone ready?"

A woman with a scar on her face charged to oversee the squadron swept her gaze across her subordinates, where they lined up in uniform.

Situated down within the basement of a mansion in Rumabel, its main hallway led to a large room which stood a fancy pedestal in the center.

On top of it, a long metal staff that was ornamented elegantly by a famous artisan was put in vertical alignment.

Given the name of Rudiplex Apextum, the prized staff was made from the finest thaumium alloy. It allowed Vis to flow effortlessly through it.

No matter the amount it received, not even one percent of Venevisium that flowed through it would be lost on the way due to resistivity.

To top it all off, a supreme azure mineral that was said to be so rare and only can be found in the deepest earth's crust by the most veteran dwarf miner, gripped firmly on its end.

The azure purity and atomic structure allowed it to hold tremendous amounts of Venevisium. Acting like a highest-grade of Vis pool extension.

Which–is currently–the Rudiplex Apextum has been withstanding almost three days of Vis accumulation without a single leakage.

"Yes, Ma'am! All the preparation has been accounted for!" replied a teenage male Elf with high spirit.

On the inside, he was so proud of himself for being chosen among other elite and talented youngsters, to work with the renowned researcher.

"Preparation for Venelutio departure is completed," said a man with a serene white face. He eyed the Grandmagus. Looking forward to what he has to say.

Then the person in charge of Vis accumulation toward the staff raised his head. His weary eyes on that pale face looked straight at his master.

"The Venevisium of Vea has reached a sufficient amount," spoke Rosch with a voice a bit hoarse.

"Very well. An outstanding effort. Rosch. I'm proud to have you as one of my students. Now, Nemeris, I would require your assistance."

"Yes. Professor. It will be my greatest honor!" replied both by the exhausted Rosch and the teenage male Elf called Nemeris.

Nemeris stepped to the front. Lefazio then tapped his cane to the floor, conjured runes that circled him, the young elf, and Rosch.

Using Aspect of Sagacitas, a Vis that allows the Grandmagus to tap into the mind, he connected both Rosch and Nemeris' memory telepathically.

It is the main prerequisite for Vis of Vea. To be able to fully use it, Rosch had to remember and portray the images all the way from the teleportation start point through the end point. Else, the teleportation would miss.

That is why Nemeris was called. The young Elf had incredible lasting memorization.

He had to guide Rosch's memory from the kingdom of Troya on the tropical continent of Trensia all the way to the snowy continent of Palium, to the kingdom of Venelutio.

An intercontinental teleportation.

"No, Rosch, this way." Corrected the young Elf. That human in his twenties nodded.

They have their eyes closed. But thanks to Lefazio's Vis of Sagacitas, they saw the same imagery in their minds.

"Uh, not that way."

The memory correction process lasted almost a half hour. No one had the heart to break their concentration. Yet, some of them found it entertaining, seeing Nemeris startled on occasions.

"All done now, Professor!" reported Nemeris. Rosch looked gloomier. He felt like he made mistakes a hundred times.

"Proceed."

Rosch then stood up and reached the staff. He raised the Rudiplex Apextum for a brief moment before he stomped it to the floor.

All the Vis that the staff contained was poured out. Waves of white energy swept across the underground hall and formed into a large circular area.

Nemeris looked at the floating white orbs that flew in front of him. When he touched it, suddenly everything and everyone within this circular area then warped through space.

After a blinding flash, they left the hall empty in an instant.

As if it switched the perception of time and space, the scenery suddenly changed in the blink of an eye.

The group arrived under a large roof of an open hall. The specified place that Nemeris set to.

Walking outside, vast gray clouds ceiled the sky. A small snow fell gently to the Grandmagus' palm. He set his eyes at three figures that walked towards him.

"It's been a while, Lefazio. I hope my welcome could warm this occasion where the land failed to do so."

"Hekh, right back at you, Arkan. Thought that it would be you, the one that visited me in Trensia, as you had planned. But alas …."

Arkan, the third Grandmagus, had received Lefazio's letter one day prior, sent by their special courier service.

The open hall was in the middle of a bustling, snow-coated town. Despite the cold, the hospitality that the town of Archadia's accommodation offered was rightfully lukewarm, prepared specially for Lefazio's group.

Then, Lefazio and Arkan left for a confidential matter.

"So, about the boy ...," Arkan paused while he and Lefazio walked together.

"Yes."

"You sure aren't mistaken?"

"It's not like you to have a doubt about me."

Arkan held his word during the walk until they both arrived at the top of a lone snowy hill just outside of the town's wall. He swept his golden blonde hair that was hanging in front of his face.

"I'm quite shocked that his Majesty's vision started to become true."

Arkan may have used the word, but Lefazio's expression was a real depiction of it. His old wrinkly eyes widened.

"Vision? His highness of Venelutio is a Seer?!"

"Indeed, or should I say, a Sacred Seer."

"You've been keeping it from me until now. Why?"

That young blonde-haired man walked in front of Lefazio and smirked. "Us, being titled Grandmagus, held a great responsibility and influence. His Majesty wished nothing more than world peace would last for a long time."

"What are you implying?"

Arkan sighed. "His Majesty wanted us—actually—three of us, the Grandmagus, to have an audience with him. But I knew that Barthusa won't be easily convinced, even just to attend."
