“Why did he want to meet?” Jack growled, clearly pissed as he downed another drink. I was just glad that he couldn’t get drunk with the rate that he was going and while a part of me wanted to tell him to let off, the other part of me wanted to join him! His unease, anger, and fear were flowing over in the mate-bond and his emotions were beginning to get to me too. Not that I was about to blame him. Hell, I’d been a nervous wreck by the time when I confronted Cole and if we’d been mated back then, I know that Jack would have turned back and refused to let us meet. But just like I needed to face Cole, Jack needed to face his brother…
