Capítulo 174: Epilogue
Two years, that's what it took Mikoto and me to finish the things I thought would take at most two weeks.
Just as expected, the eyes were accepted practically without posing a burden (I even suspected that Mikoto was related to Madara) and the first thing she did when she became familiar with the Rinnegan and its powers was to eliminate Indra's chakra in Sasuke.
According to Sasuke himself, it feels as if someone has removed a leech that he never felt was there until it was removed.
He had nightmares about it for weeks, questioning how much he was influenced unknowingly.
Since I didn't want to give the old man time to bother us with some shady move, Mikoto and I blocked Naruto while we also eradicated Hagoromo's son's chakra from him, as well as giving him a beating until thinking about the word Uzumaki became a lifetime trauma, we went to deal with Kaguya.
By the way, I heard that Naruto was banned from the list of Hokage candidates for life by the proposal of some major clans of Konoha during the reconstruction, I have to find out the internal history later. Although there is still Sasuke this and Sasuke that, what he has now can only be called obsession.
Sakura even got married last month to a colleague from the hospital, continuing with her life!
For some reason I was invited to the wedding... the cake was dark chocolate, it was delicious.
But halfway through, there was an unexpected turn and that old man seemed to realize my intentions to do "something" with his mother and because he didn't know what it would be (I guess he thought I would free her or something like that), it seems he wanted to use his connection with Chomei inside Fu to cause problems.
That could have gone VERY badly.
Fortunately, Chomei and Fu got along well enough for the seven-tailed beast not to blindly follow the orders of its "father" and tell its jinchuriki what was going on, which saved me from having to take some drastic measures that would have saddened my adopted daughter.
My response came an hour later to his dimension, in the form of armies of Ryuk's that made sure to leave the so-called sage in black and purple before depriving him of his special status, derived powers and forcing him to live in the Pure Land like the rest of the dead as would an old man.
An old man who is monitored by Shinigamis addicted to apples, in a world where there are no apples and they have to monitor the culprit.
His eternal death won't be rosy, I'll tell you that much.
I think he's now Danzo's neighbor, what a coincidence.
Once we got rid of Hagoromo and the chakra of his children, we went to the moon through the passage used by Toneri's clan and after letting Mikoto use the Rinnegan together with Mariko's help to check the seal, we confirmed that it could still last for a few centuries.
Apparently when I raised the possibility of blowing up the moon, some girls vetoed the idea.
This part took us almost the whole first year, having to locate the seal, study it without touching it and try to understand a fuinjutsu from a thousand years ago, very different from what is used today in the ninja world.
Now, it was interesting to discover during the inspection that Kaguya had been "dead" for about two hundred years. Not her body, but the consciousness/soul that had been in a state of stasis for a thousand years.
I think I'm missing something, because if Kaguya has been dead for so long, what the hell did Black Zetsu use to be able to revive her in Madara's body?
It's so confusing, it's like he had a backup in case of death or something.
Anyway, since Kaguya's body was there and to completely dispel any doubts, we brought her back with Edo Tensei (courtesy of a prisoner of Konoha who gave us Kumo, I think his name was Konohamaru Sarutobi, it rings a bell) and even before we could talk to her, Mikoto told me that something similar but not identical was happening to Kaguya, as to what happened to Sasuke and Naruto.
Something that wasn't her was interfering with her judgment.
What did we do with this information?
Naturally, I decided that Mikoto do the same and remove the influence on her.
Turns out a sane Kaguya is very nice! A true ray of sunshine.
And she's a beauty in person, you lucky bastard Tenji...
I envy him! Nah, I've gotten over it.
The chakra fruit she consumed was the source of the foreign influence, twisting her perception and thoughts. Translating her explanation into simpler terms, it's like having a power surge that messes with your head because you can't get used to the sudden change.
She spent several days as a "guest" in Seimeigakure to be able to speak calmly and I was amazed at how she can easily handle all the Hyuga clan's children. As Hinata and Hanabi later explained to me, Kaguya transmitted a feeling of closeness to them as if she were their grandmother.
But the most important part is that through her mouth, we found out that she perceived (I still don't know how, since she only has the strength of an elite chunnin at best) another Otsutsuki on the planet. Needless to say, we immediately went to take care of him, taking more than one surprise along the way.
Once this man was out of the game permanently, Kaguya approached me and posed two questions.
The first was that she wanted to stay in the village, even without being completely revived, to take care of her (many, many) grandchildren. She couldn't get a happy family a thousand years ago and the feeling she lived these days was the best for her.
Needless to say, I had no problem with an immortal childcare provider who doesn't get tired, doesn't need to sleep and is alert twenty-four hours a day.
She was the ultimate nanny!
I finally have someone who can teach Nemu and Hinata how to use the Tenseigan.
And with my wives about to give birth for the third time, I urgently need one of those. What can I say, we like to show our love.
Turns out my genetics have a tendency for twins and triplets!
Additional fun fact: Hinata achieved her goal and is already four months pregnant, Hanabi can't stop boasting about how she's about to become an aunt.
Another one: Shizune was the next to join the growing harem and has been nauseous for two weeks, so... happiness just keeps increasing by the moment.
Kurotsuchi? Well, we're both pretty busy and don't see each other that often, but I think things are going well. The situation is a bit more complicated, but I would say it's only a matter of time.
The second thing Kaguya said wasn't as good, she said that undoubtedly more people from her clan would come in a few years to "harvest" the planet after her absence.
This made me want to put my face against a pillow and scream.
That's it, I'm moving the damn planet to another place.
And we get to the second year. Mikoto has traveled with Sasuke around the world while placing some beacons (they cost a fortune each) that I made with the help of Mariko, Nemu, and Kaguya.
The Rinnegan had to be overworked a bit since the locations had to be precise to the millimeter in relation to each other in space coordinates so that we don't leave any pieces of the planet behind and had to tear down some mountains and forests, but everything is for my future happiness and the safety of the family, so it's worth it.
I'm saving the damn world, so when I went to see the Kages and told them that I was going to place some beacons in their lands to move the planet before the extraterrestrials invade us and they looked at me as if I were speaking another language.
Introducing Kaguya to them? Well, the planetary movement I'm going to perform will work thanks to the fact that she already traveled through space for a while and knows which areas of the galaxy have already been "harvested" by her clan and crossed off the list, so we just have to use a space coordinate in an area used with a living Sun so that they can't find us.
Now, I needed a little energy to activate the beacons, which will envelop the planet and its moon in a quantum singularity to protect it from the wormhole and...
Why am I explaining this?
In summary, I needed A LOT of energy for the planet not to be crushed like an egg when moving it and to be able to maintain its atmosphere, temperature, and other factors.
So, using the labor of the alliance, its resources, and also those of the "volunteer" Daimyos, the construction of ARC reactors began to come out when the parts of the assembly line were sent to where they were needed.
Clean, sustainable energy and enough to power the project.
Sixteen ARC reactors the size of 165,000 square meters each were needed to produce and store the necessary amount.
And guess what? It turns out ninjutsu works great for accelerating things, especially some Kekkei Genkai or techniques like shadow clones.
Thus, after five years of additional efforts, the reactors were turned on and the planet disappeared in what could only be called the ultimate blinding flash. If they didn't have a clear idea where the planet was before, now they had the burnt retinas as a reminder.
By the time the Otsutsuki clan arrives, they will only be able to look around and wonder if they turned in the wrong direction at the last star.
I think my good work deserves a reward, it's apple time!
