Capítulo 6: Chapter 6 Making a makeshift lid and plans for tommorow
In the afternoon, with the sun high up in the sky, John began separating the meat, bones, and furs of the boars.
"I need to make a storage that can store the meat" John realized that he needed a way to store the rest of the meat that he had separated from the boars.
He had heard stories of insects and other animals getting into stored food and ruining it. He knew that he needed a way to protect his food from these intruders.
Using his rock axe, John set out to gather materials to make a makeshift lid.
He searched the forest for large leaves and found some from a nearby palm tree. He also found some bark that he could use as a base.
With his materials gathered, John began to weave the leaves together to form a tight covering.
He used the bark as a base and tied the leaves tightly over it using some vines he found nearby. After several hours of work, John had made a sturdy and effective makeshift lid to protect his food.
However, he also remembered the benefits of hanging food and the first and the furs, so he decided to hang the rest of the meat that he had separated from the boars on a tree branch.
He tied the meat securely with some vines and hung it high enough to keep it away from any animals that might try to get at it.
With his food safely stored, John could rest easy knowing that his supplies would last him for several days.
John then started a fire and used some sticks to skewer the raw meat that he left.
He then grilled the meat over the flames, continuing to cook it until it was ready.
The scent of the cooking meat spread throughout the forest, making John's stomach growl in anticipation.
"Almost there, just a little longer,"
John said, trying to hold himself back from eating the meat before it was fully cooked.
He watched as the flames licked the meat, cooking it to perfection. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the meat was ready.
"Yes, finally it's done," John said, his mouth watering as he eagerly reached for the cooked meat.
"Can't believe even I the dignified John Steele is reduced to this," I muttered to myself, feeling a bit dumbfounded by my situation after only two days on the island.
"But forget it, the food is right here and I'm starving. Who cares about my image," I tried to changed the topic, brushing aside any lingering pride.
As John finally takes a bite of the grilled meat, he closes his eyes and savors the taste. He can feel the juices and flavors bursting in his mouth, and his stomach grumbles in satisfaction.
He continues to eat, and with each bite, he feels a sense of contentment wash over him. The warmth of the fire and the comforting taste of the meat make him forget about his troubles for a moment, and he relishes in the simple pleasure of having a good meal.
"Delicious," I burped as I ate over five sticks of raw meat. I got up from the ground, feeling satisfied and satiated, but also slightly sluggish.
My body was working hard to digest the protein-rich meal, and I could feel a warmth spreading throughout my limbs.
Despite feeling slightly drowsy, I knew the meal would give me the energy I needed to continue surviving on this island.
After a brief rest, John got up and started to plan how he could protect himself from the island's wild animals.
"I need to build walls made of logs to surround my shelter, which would provide me with a protection against any potential threats" I said when I remembered about the wolves last night.
"I'm not afraid of wolves I was given the named "ALPHA" why would I be afraid of a dog"
"But being cautious is important" I told myself
Finally night came, then John set up another fire to drive away some animals then slept for the whole night.
