Chapter 52 - USJ

The school bell rang, and Ryuji leaned against the window with a smile plastered on his face. He looked to the side and grinned widely at Tenya Ida.

Tenya felt a chill crawl up his spine. He was already doubting whether he should have accepted that deal or not, but deep inside his heart, he still thought of it as an opportunity to take a step closer to becoming a great hero just like his brother.

He has witnessed firsthand the absurd power displayed by Ryuji, Katsuki, and Izuku. The strength they wielded can simply be described as levels beyond what he currently has. He's like a muddy stone beside shining gems or stars in the night sky being compared to the bright and giant sun.

In the end, it's all up to fate to decide if he picked the right answer or not.

"For today's hero basic training, it has turned into a class with three instructors to take care of you all. It would be me, All Might, and one more person," Aizawa said with a deadbeat tone. He then pulled something out of his pocket and showed the words written on it to class—Rescue.

"Before you ask, we'll be conducting rescue training today."

"Rescue training?"

"That sounds like a lot of work."

"This should be because of what happened back then," Ryuji mumbled with a knowing grin.

"I see…" Tenya nudged his glasses.

"Tsk, those bastards would have died if it was a real villain's attack. Upperclassmen my ass." Katsuki snorted.

"I do wonder what could have caused for the gate to break down back then." Izuku scratched his chin in curiosity.

A day ago, a sudden alarm rang an alarm which notified the students that someone has breached the campus without permission. Because of its sudden appearance, everyone swiftly started to panic and caused a ruckus to occur.

Only with the four's combined effort did they manage to calm down everyone, with Ryuji using his quirk to calm everyone down forcefully.

Unknowingly, his Quirk's power was once again revealed to UA's teachers, elevating his already high status further with this newfound application. After all, rational thinking and logic are two important factors that would lead to success, not just for the heroes, but for the powerless citizens that need saving as well.

The more he displayed his usefulness, the higher his value slowly became in their hearts.

But, if one knew the true nature of Ryuji Anwir, then they would find this suspiciously convenient for him to elevate his status higher and stabilize his position as his batch's number one. So, as he tapped his table with his index finger, Ryuji thought, 'Heh, Shigaraki, you're such a fool. You only raised the alertness of UA's staff with your declaration of war, and allowed me to shine even brighter than before.'

'That's another step closer to becoming the future greatest hero and having the world revolve around the palm of my hands, controlling both light and darkness!' Ryuji vividly imagined the scene a few decades into the future, a future where he has attained unrivaled power and gained the power of a living god, with strength that can match this entire world!

As he dismissed his useless thoughts, he continued to listen to Aizawa's words.

"You can decide if you want to wear your costume this time or not," AIzawa said and pressed a button, "Because there are probably costumes that limit your abilities as well."

"The training will take place off-campus, so we're taking a bus. That's all, so start getting ready if you don't want to be left behind."

Yuga hid inside his personal changing room and nervously put on his costume. He took deep and heavy breaths and stared at the mirror in front of him with a grim smile. He slowly took out a strange device resembling a phone, but flatter and sleek, and went on to press it.

Soon, without uttering a single word, a shadowy purple portal opened up in front of him, and a pair of yellow eyes stared at him through the gate between two different points in space.

Yuga shivered and struggled to remain calm. Still, what would happen next is something he can't control, and he'd rather finish it fast than get caught.

"According to Aizawa-sensei, we'll be doing rescue training off-campus and had us wear our costumes. I don't know where it would happen, but I believe this is useful information for All for One-sama," Yuga hastily said with his throat bobbing up and done uncontrollably. "Also, it seems we're doing rescue training, and we would arrive at the training place by around 1:30."

Kurogiri nodded his head through the portal and said, "Good job, Aoyama-san."

"I'll put in a good word to All for One for taking the initiative to report this," Kurogiri said with a warm tone. His undying loyalty to the Symbol of Fear caused him to view Yuga in a more positive light with his recent actions.

Without Yuga even knowing it himself, he has started to proactively do his role as a spy and report more and more useful details to Kurogiri, which would then be given to All for One. Because of that, their preparations were more seamless compared to before, and Kurogiri could even expect something great would happen today with this newfound information.

"Till next time, Aoyama-san." Kurogiri bid his farewell and closed the warp gate, leaving Yuga all alone inside the room.

His legs then wobbled as he lost all strength in his body. He leaned back against the wall and heaved a sigh of relief. Finally, he did his role, and once again ensured the safety of his family and himself.

That wasn't also mentioning the fact that All for One have mystical Quirks that could easily notice if he has withheld information, and would be punished because of it. He'd rather take the initiative to secure his already bleak future and choose the lesser evil in this situation.

One might think of him as despicable, but he couldn't care any less since his life was on the line. When man is put on the brink of life and death, they'd grasp at all straws to survive another day!

As he slowly left the empty room clad in shadows and darkness, a pair of golden eyes appeared in the corner of the room out of nowhere. Ryuji's figure slowly outlined itself from the darkness, and he wore a strange grin on his face.

"Fufufu, it's getting closer."

'Hidden Order has already infiltrated deep within All for One's ranks, All for One would soon get that info about USJ, and he'll finally launch an attack on Class 1-A in an attempt to lure out All Might and deal with him with what whatever mysterious plan he's concocting in his head.'

'Hmph, arrogant indeed, that Nomu is something even I can deal with without using my full power, not to mention All Might!' Ryuji's eyes flashed with contempt and confidence. Success was near, and it only took him a few weeks to make full use of this lucky opportunity.

Class 1-A stood in front of UA's main building, waiting for the bus to appear.

As usual, a certain man was as eye-catching as ever with his golden and dragon-themed outfit full of ridiculous flare. Fortunately, or unfortunately, there were two other martial artists from the world of Wuxia in class to offset the strangeness, even if for just a bit.

Pweeeh!

Tenya blew his whistle loudly and stood in front of the bus, he nudged his glasses and shouted loudly, "Class 1-A, gather around!"

"We're going to form two lines, with the order determined by our student number, so that we won't have to worry about our seating placements and waste less time!"

"Oho! Now that's a leader!" Ryuji shouted from the side and slowly walked up to the front. Then, the others soon followed, and they entered the bus.

"Ack!" Tenya Ida cried out loudly, his eyes widening in surprise to see that the bus wasn't the usual format, and instead had the seats all to the sides with a large empty space in the middle rather than having seats in rows.

His plan essentially became useless since the problem of seats wasn't there in the first place.

"If only I took a look inside…" Tenya Ida said listlessly. It was truly an embarrassing mistake on his part.

"That's fine." Ryuji patted him on the back. "We all make mistakes, well, you all mistakes. I'm simply too perfect to make any mistakes."

"What about when you forgot your customer's appointment and lost over ten thousand yen?" Katsuki chided.

"Huh? Did you guys hear that? Did you hear that Izuku? Did you heart that Tenya?" Ryuji looked around, confused by the wind that brushed past him.

Katsuki rolled his eyes in response and closed his eyes. He was a bit sleepy, so he decided to take a short nap before they arrived at whatever their travel destination is.

As he went silent, Tsuyu suddenly said, "Midoriya-chan…"

"Yeah?" Izuku looked to the side, surprised to hear his name.

"You know, I really think your Quirk is like All Might's."

"Huh?" Izuku wore a surprised grin. "You think so?"

"I guess our Quirks are kind of similar in regards to the physical strengthening aspect." Izuku laughed.

Ryuji glanced from the side, making eye contact with Izuku for a split second. Then, he seamlessly entered the conversation, "Well, All Might doesn't have those eye-catching green sparks, so they aren't exactly the same."

"That's right!" Kirishima butted in with shining. "I wish I could have those sparks as well, my Quirk looks so lame compared to yours. You can do lots of flashy stuff with yours."

"I think yours look cool, Kirishima-san!" Izuku said with a smile. "Your Quirk is definitely great for being a pro hero!"

"Isn't that right, Ryuji-san?"

Ryuji coughed and cleared his throat. "Yep, it's definitely great. He could become a real good tank with enough training."

"Really?" Kirishima had stars shining in his eyes. "You really think so?"

"Still, popularity is an important part of being a pro hero. My Quirk just doesn't have that flashiness factor." Kirishima shook his head and sighed.

"That just sounds like a skill issue in my opinion." Ryuji snorted and leaned forward with serious eyes. "You just need to have the proper costume, and the exaggerated flair to your every move. Even without my scales, I can still act cool as hell!"

"I guess that is right…" Kirishima pondered and remembered that what Ryuji said was right.

"Heh, my Navel Laser is pro-level when it comes to flashiness and power," Yuga said in a flamboyant tone.

"But it's not that great if it gives you a stomachache," Mina said with a smile.

Yuga's smile turned wry as he lightly coughed.

"Well, if you're talking about flashy and strong, it's gotta be Bakugo and Todoroki, right?" Kirishima exclaimed.

"Pfft, that guy?" Ryuji snorted and pointed at the sleeping Katsuki. "That dude won't last long as a pro hero with his personality. If I'm not here, he'd probably be struggling to remain popular!"

"I think the one who looks a lot cooler is that ice head, but he also has a nasty personality like Katsuki-kun over here," Ryuji whispered to the others.

"Erm…" The others couldn't refute what he said. In one way or another, they also thought of the same thing since it's a fact that Shoto was a bit distant.

As they discussed more and more random topics, the bus soon arrived at its destination and came to a halt. Tenya took the lead and lined up the class once more so they could get out of the bus without any accidents.

"Everyone, I have been waiting for you!" A person wearing a weird, wide astronaut-like costume stood in front of the entire class.

"Oh, it's the space hero, Thirteen! The hero—Thirteen—who has rescued people from tons of disasters!" Izuku couldn't believe he was standing in front of thee pro hero, Thirteen!

Many of them started to murmur, displaying their surprise and excitement.

"Let's go inside without delay." Thirteen then lead them inside the dome-shaped building.

As soon as they walked through the entrance, they were greeted by a wide, vast area full of artificial disasters ranging from flooded cities to raging flames.

"A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, et cetera! It is a training ground I made with different types of accidents and disasters." Thirteen flared out their arms to the side. "It's called the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or USJ for short!"

Inside a dark, decrepit room, a man with grayish-blue hair stood in front of a large crowd with haggard eyes. There was a hint of madness to his gaze as he scratched at his chin with his gloved hands. Beside the man, there stood a monstrosity over 6 feet tall, a hulking mass of muscles with an exposed brain, purple skin, and a beak for a mouth full of sharp teeth.

The same can be said for the mental state of the crowd in front of him. Their eyes were full of bloodlust as evil intentions flared with their every movement.

"Today, this will mark the death of All Might!" The man shouted with crazed obsession in his voice.

AN: This chapter has 2236 words.

Sigh, enjoy this double chapter since webnovel's shit, especially inkstone with its tiny as hell timer text size.

Anyways, fuck, Dolian's making my brain ache. Argh, I'm gonna alter the original story so much once this Arc ends because Ryuji and Dolian are just two psychopaths with big fucking brains. That's why I wanna write a brainless protagonist with huge plot armor and dogshit luck, and that's why I also wanna write my future original novel---Fortune Lover: My Luck is Infinite.
