Capítulo 40: Sunk

Ash saw the two figures further away and cautiously approached until they both became much clearer.

Upon seeing them both, her eyes widened and her steps paused for a moment.

One was the form of a small child who was stuck in the ground after stepping into a location that had some kind of sink hole or deep pool of wet mud.

Moving around only caused people to sink in deeper until they finally reached the bottom similar to quicksand.

The weight pressing the body down for the child caused their energy to be sapped away very quickly making the child unable to move around much after sinking down.

Luckily the situation had not become the worst possible scenario since the bottom had a hard enough surface for the child to be able to keep their head and arms above preventing the child from being fully swallowed up and suffocating.
