Alicia was really shocked. "Mom told me I was an IVF baby and my dad's a mystery. How can a DNA test at the police station help find my real dad?"

Louis, holding her hand, walked quickly inside, his voice a bit serious. "Don't stress too much, just trust me."

They got to the part of the police station where they do DNA tests. Alicia showed her ID and asked for a DNA test. The police took her blood, did the test, and put the data in their system, all for free.

While Alicia was filling out the form, she saw it was for a national database to find kidnapped kids. After everything was done, the police told Alicia to wait for the results. If they found a DNA match, they'd call her.

Leaving the police station, Alicia was still confused. The word "kidnapped" really puzzled her. She asked, "How did I become a kidnapped kid? I thought I was an IVF baby my mom had?"
