Capítulo 180: Love Chase Across State Lines

Louis didn't get the money until Monday because of the weekend. After a meeting, he went back to his office.

He looked at the message and was confused. Then he saw that the money came from Alicia and he looked surprised. Why would she suddenly give me this much? Not a penny more, not a penny less, but exactly 160 million, the same amount I've given her in three years. Does she want to break up with me?

He thought their sweet time at the hospital in Asia a few days ago meant they were okay again. But now it seemed...

The more Louis thought, the sadder he looked. He tried to call Alicia, but she didn't pick up. He knew Alicia was in California, fixing old paintings for Basemmath, so he called him instead.

After saying hello, he asked calmly, "Mr. Boyer, where's Alicia?"

Basemmath chuckled, "She is busy. Do you need something?"

"I do. Tell her to call me when she can."

"Okay."
