Capítulo 108: Why Me?

Maya didn't understand why, but she was pissed. 

She didn't know if Nate was ashamed of her or if he didn't trust her around his cousin, but either way, it seemed to have slipped his mind that there was an event she needed to be invited to.

"So?" she asked in a demanding tone as she tapped her feet on the ground. 

She knew Nate couldn't see it, but she still did it out of habit.

"Maya, I just found out that the invitations were sent out today," Nate said as he tried to make an excuse for not inviting her. "Plus I won't be there."

"Is this some way for me not to be there?" Maya demanded to know. 

She frowned, she knew she was being unreasonable. 

"Why don't I come over tonight and we'll talk about it," Nate told her.

"Okay," Maya said as she buried whatever she was feeling deep down.
