Capítulo 75: Legend and the mystery

As time passed for so long Lireesa couldn't count anymore, she was starting to feel some grasp of the Wind law. She dove deeper and even felt the cheers from the wind elements. Insider her mind, the complex structure of cyan elements revealed itself more and more.

Although she had no idea what were these, she assumed they were arrays or runes depicting wind. And her conjecture wasn't born out of nowhere since Azeroth was a magical world and these could be the fundamental origins of the law itself.

Currently, Lireesa could only see but not understand the complexities. Yet visualizing was already a giant leap to start getting familiar with the elements. Before she began upgrading, there wasn't any visualization nor any knowledge of her closeness with the wind.

No distraction as her concentration was solely on the wind elements and Lireesa wasn't having a harsh time despite it appeared to be. Her enlightenment was brought by several factors and already showed her future path.

What the obstacle ahead was her stubbornness to believe she was ready to comprehend wind power. Naturally, this was on a subconscious level because Lireesa was a non-believer in her previous life or an atheist. Although she had adjusted herself to Azeroth that gods and demons existed, Lireesa's adaptation would take some time.

Based on the element's agenda, understanding part of it was the road to Legend; then, full comprehension of the law was the step toward becoming a Demigod. If so the next step to becoming the law meant entering the realm of God. Even though these paths were far away from the current Lireesa, achieving godhood was what every powerhouse strived for.

In fact, the elves who researched deeply in regards to the arcane had already arrived at the same theory. Therefore, arcane mages were very rare to have belief in other divine beings; they would rather study these laws of the universe and discover many unknowns.

Slowly but surely Lireesa was altering her prior belief and thought what wind meant to her. What is wind? Why does it exist? What causes them?

Of course, bringing in theories from previous life wasn't useful here but it was also an inspiration. Something was better than nothing to start from.

The wind is some kind of energy which drives many aspects. The fundamental of wind is the airflow. Along the airflow versus against the airflow. In addition, wind is the major component of weather, carrying heat and many other substances along its path. When used properly, it creates higher efficiency and better results.

For Lireesa, the wind is an auxiliary power to enhance her strength. The wind is everywhere as long as air particles exist. At any time and place, she could make use of these elements. As Lireesa accepted this general idea where the wind would help in her fights, she really felt like stepping into the Legend realm this time.

Some ideas such as reducing drag and using the wind which had passed over her when she ran to propel her forward to increase the movement speed were on Lireesa's mind. It was a simple aerodynamic law and law of physics, despite every law was not the same in a different world.

Through this comprehension, Lireesa believed even without her another mage profession, her Legend rank ranger could also cast some spells. For instance, wind blades, tornadoes…etc.

From the outside, Alleria found her mother meditating and the wind started to blow hard. It became stronger as minutes passed by. Soon, a whirlpool of wind vortex loomed around Lireesa, and the surrounding area was affected by heavy wind.

Alleria even felt her mother's aura rising along with the wind level. As the vortex got fiercer, Alleria was thinking about running away lest the wind cut her. Although she had never seen wind magic, she heard from other Windrunners who observed Lireesa's fight. The power of wind should never be underestimated.

Suddenly, Lireesa's aura grew and spread around. Alleria and the dragonhawk couldn't move or utter a word under this momentum. Well, they could groan or speak but it cost energy and even move if they tried to resist. Normally a legend's aura was impossible to cause immobility and it should be the breakthrough energy that became stronger.

Worried the wind whirling around Lireesa would hurt them, both were frightened. However, it seemed the effect was an over-exaggeration since the wind merely bent some parts of trees and blew some leaves around. Alleria couldn't see the wind but sensed these elements somehow. She couldn't explain the feeling.

How she could tell it was a vortex, was through her perception and the leaves dancing path. Her eyes already saw them surrounding Lireesa as if cheering for a transcendent being.

Alleria was also happy for her mother to enter the Legend realm and the difference in treatment couldn't be more obvious. Even in Quel'Thalas, there were very few legends around a dozen or so. Lireesa stepping in completely changed the original hierarchy combined with her growing influence among the civilians.

While Alleria was in a good mood, Lireesa now having comprehended part of the law initially began to enter a Legend realm. As soon as she felt her aura surge and upgrade, her vision changed. At first, there was whiteness wherever she looked and the scene became something similar to the universe.

Lireesa even spotted some twinkling lights as if they were stars in the universe. She wasn't strange about this sight because her initial footstep when she transmigrated was the same universe. Knowing where she was, Lireesa looked around as if waiting for something.

"Tsk. Tsk. I've seen you enjoy living in my body. Huh?" A voice entered straight into Lireesa's mind and she panicked. "Who says 'give me back my body' at the beginning? Now I'm feeling you would never want to return."

"…Ah! ... You're still alive. How come after I thought I've devoured you." Lireesa stammered and this surprise was too big right? "All my sadness and my sympathy."

Who else was here besides the original Lireesa, although she wasn't bright compared to her initial appearance? Her soul seemed weak. But the original's presence caught Lireesa to have a chill down the spine and her heart went cold. Was she here again to rob her body after she upgraded to Legend? All that struggles for nothing.

Well. Ahem. She fought against the Legend, so she had tried hard right and also increased the entire Windrunner's combat effectiveness. She paid a lot.

The soul in front who had the same face, same figure as her, smirked because she noticed Lireesa's smile dissipated and replaced with dread and powerlessness. It wasn't surprising when Lireesa didn't belong to this body and now the original was back, it was time to return to the owner. But Lireesa wasn't willing. Frustrated and angry. It's normal.

"Where's the boy who shouted he'll never end with me? Where's that courage?" The soul asked as if to mock. Lireesa was speechless. Could she say she wasn't in the right mind? Being ignorant is bliss indeed. Until she practiced, she discovered how strong was the original's soul power and was puzzled at why the original gave up easily.

"Okay, Okay. Stop with your gloomy expression. I'm not taking back anything. Why are you afraid after becoming a Ranger-General?"

Lireesa's mouth twitched. How long has she been a general and only experienced one war personally? She didn't bother to speak but was relieved after hearing the soul didn't like to take back. So, Lireesa could continue living and waited for further explanation.

"Come with me. I'll explain while we walk." The soul drifted further and Lireesa quickly followed. Both flew across the universe coming to the shiniest area brightened with golden color. "By the way, it appears using my body, you really changed the views of my subordinates. I've become lecherous now and all those years of my seriousness and solemnity gone for naught."

Lireesa's body was stiff for a while and turned her head to show an ugly smile, receiving a long glare from the opponent. Afterward, the two continued their journey. Waiting for an answer for so long, Lireesa decided to ask her doubt.

"Why're you still here? Hmm, I mean I'm happy to see you alive but how come you can still live on?" Lireesa was confused as she already confirmed her memory fusion was real and the original soul should've been gone but it existed albeit in a frail state.

"I'm glad for your thoughts. Your question had many answers. I'll explain one by one." It turned out, it wasn't Lireesa's righteous deeds in the past life which won the original Lireesa's sympathy. For her survival, she wouldn't care if she killed the feeble soul who tried to enter her body. But when she was about to devour the current Lireesa, her mysterious sense warned it was dangerous and not cost-effective.

Her sense also told her this one might become the savior of her family too and she decided to gamble. Losing some soul power in the process to make it appear like memory fusion, and with her remaining soul, she quietly watched as Lireesa lived her life and was relieved. Although it was dark and lonely inside the soul realm, her heart was at peace understanding someone would take care of her family. Maybe when the current Lireesa became powerful, she could also be revived again.

She predicted the wait should be very long but never expected this fast change. As soon as the current Lireesa became Legend, the soul realm shook to welcome a new existence which was where she was taking Lireesa to. By this time, she was aware her gamble won.

"So, what should I call you now?" The current Lireesa's feeling was complex at the kind predecessor although she had initially thought of harming Lireesa. It was perfectly understandable and Lireesa didn't blame her at all. Not to mention she was indeed the first elder to rescue him from confusion. Now some of the gaps which she didn't previously understand had been filled in. "I mean I already regarded myself as Lireesa. The name is the same, everything is identical except some behaviors which I'm somehow influenced by your memories. So, I think we should differentiate."

"Whatever, you can address me as senior or sister. It doesn't matter. Just don't call me like elder or mother. I'm not too old for that." Lireesa's corner of the mouth twitched. 2700+ years wasn't old could only be regarded by the existence in front of her.

"Since you're also Lireesa and I'm also one, I'll call you Lireesa II." Lireesa poked her fingers against one another as she spoke out. Her words caused the soul leading the path to stagnate and blinked as if it almost drained out soul power inside.

"Why the second when I'm the real owner here?" The soul turned around and asked. Although her voice was nonchalant, Lireesa knew there was rage inside. Knowing she wasn't going to be harmed, Lireesa became carefree.

"First, the one who's able to use the body and in charge is me. I have a better option in safeguarding our family." Lireesa raised her index finger and shook in front of her senior. Then she raised another finger to make a point. "Second, your soul perception now is weak. Based on the current situation, I'm stronger than you. Not to mention, my power is incomparable with your prior cultivation."

Lireesa II raised her eyebrows but didn't say anything to the reckless guy in front. Instead, she ignored her and continued her path.

"Wait up, sis." After knowing Lireesa II wasn't indeed going to hurt her, she acted like a bear child. Lireesa continued teasing her second clone until a golden incarnation shone its light attracting the attention and Lireesa II explained.

"This is the treasure I presume you brought inside the soul realm since you appear. It's called the Book of Wisdom."

Lireesa couldn't look away at the book suspended in the void. The sight was breathtaking and she somehow subconsciously recognized it belonged to her. She couldn't explain the inexplicable feeling but she realized this could be her help or cheat she discovered after coming to this world.

So many stones after I update less. Should I update once a week?

Alright, Just kidding!

There was no change in the plot, the original is still alive since I write this book.

The cheat was in fact something I am always wavering.

In the end I decided to put it in lest the chapters I must write became 1500+
