Capítulo 372: Meeting With The Mastermind
"How long have you noticed me?" instead of answering, confirming Ryker's guess, the young man asked another question.
"Long enough," the young man let a slightly frustrated noise, though Ryker could tell he was just joking.
However, the other Noble expert who came with the young man glared at him.
"How da-" one of the guards wanted to scold Ryker but was stopped by the young man, who raised his hand to stop his guard.
"Enough. I might be part of the royal family but he deserved to be frustrated for being made into bait. Though, how long do you know you are the bait, and how do you know that the seed was tampered with?" the man asked.
"For the first question, since the first day. There must be a logical reason for someone to suddenly give money to a stranger. After all, what kind of madman gave that much money to a stranger anyway?" Ryker told the man.
"As for the second question, trade some secrets with me," one of the guards was about to say something but was stopped by the man.
"Does my name and identity suffice?" he asked. Ryker thought about it before nodding.
"Then, let me introduce myself, I am Lariz Birak, first son of the King of Birak Kingdom, the Crown Prince and heir to the kingdom," Ryker's eyes widened. He expected the person in front of him to be important, but not that important.
"In that case, should I bow, your excellency?" Ryker asked, making the Crown Prince laugh.
"No need. Answering my question should suffice for now, but in the future, I might ask you too," the Prince said mirthfully.
"How about I show it to you, Your Highness?" as he finished his sentence, a large Spirit Giant Tiger stride towards him, with Sophia on top, groaning in pain.
The Duke, who had followed Tashirn looked at her with a pained look. Even the Prince looked pained by it.
While Ryker did not show any sign of being disturbed, in his mind is a different story altogether.
He motioned for Tashirn to come to him. When the tiger beast came close, he put the injured woman on the ground, close to the tree confining the traitor.
"Vitality Replenishing Aura," Ryker poured his life qi, purging the rampant death qi. The two opposing qi battled one another before the life qi slowly purged the death qi infesting Sophia.
However, just as he was about to halfway heal him, he stopped. The Duke was about to ask him why when a glance at Ryker showed how tired he was.
"So, possessed a mastery of Law of Life. Combined with your powerful Soul and Body, you are almost invincible in the Genesis Lake, maybe even at the Genesis Sea as well," the Prince summarised.
"Well, that is one more thing you know about me," Ryker replied. The crown prince was about to ask more but he knew now was not the right time
"Can you heal her?" the Prince asked more concerned about Sophia.
"I need to replenish my qi first but we don't have time for that so I will go with the next best thing," before anyone could ask, Ryker's fingers pierced through the tree, making the traitor scream in pain.
He then put his free hands on Sophia's wounded part. The observers watched as Ryker transferred the vitality of the tree to Sophia, replenishing her weakening energy and making the wound heal though not completely
As he pulled his hands back, he then used Vitality Replenishing Aura, doing another purge of death qi in Sophia's wound. He then repeated the process, taking the vitality of both tree and prisoner, before healing Sophia.
The process was repeated three times, each causing the imprisoned man to scream in pain, the traitor letting out a blood-curdling cry. Even the guards were disturbed by it, no need to talk about the Prince.
After the third time, Ryker pulled his hand, wiping the sweat that had been formed during the healing. "That is all I can do for now, she needs rest and maybe some healer to check on her. But the death qi had been completely purged so there should be no problem.
If there is nothing else, I will take my leave," as Ryker was about to leave, the Prince walked in front of him.
"How about a little talk first," Ryker smiled at the Prince, though if one looked closely, there seemed to be a hint of annoyance.
"If this is a better time, I would accept it. But just now, someone I considered a friend almost died, and I am currently still tired of healing her. And not to mention a certain someone's plan would have made me meet my untimely demise just to make a traitor get trapped by a tree,"
The Prince looked like he was slapped and the guards looked like they were planning to beat him up but he didn't care, "So, I would go to my house and rest. Maybe tomorrow we can talk, Your Excellency,"
As he finished talking, Ryker was about to leave when the Prince called out to him, "Wait!"
He did just that, deciding to humor the man. After a while, he was starting to lose patience, "Your excellency, if you wa-" "Catch," he reflexively caught the item thrown at him, which turned out to be a storage ring.
"In that is half the stuff belonging to the traitor. The other half will belong to the manager," Ryker thanked the Prince before continuing to walk towards the city.
When they no longer see him, one of the guards complains, "Your Highness, why do you let him go after he disrespects you so much?"
The other guards voiced their agreement, claiming they would make him see his place. A glare from the prince silenced all of them.
"Duke, what is the cultivation realm?" instead of answering his men, he asked the Duke something else that was not connected, or it seemed so at first.
"2nd Stage of Genesis Lake," the prince then turned to the guards, who all looked like they had just eaten excrement.
"That person was equal to a wounded Noble expert, while not even at the Genesis Sea realm yet. His strength is far greater than mine, or even my father when we are a the same realm. It is better to have such genius not annoyed at us. Who knew, he might be a Noble, maybe even a Sovereign expert in the future," the guards merely gulped, nodding meekly.
"Not to mention, he has the right to complain. He survives a Noble expert. Everyone else had died, while he was the only one alive,"
