Her voice had abandoned her, and invisible restraints bound her limbs, rendering her powerless in this tormenting abyss.

Making her realize that all her frantic attempts to escape this unforgiving prison were futile.

'Where... did it... all go wrong?'

Exhausted, she couldn't help but ask herself as her mind drifted back to the scene in the headmistress's office.

'I... remember.'

Richard's blaming one of them—probably her or Adrian—and the interrogators' order to examine her— igniting her fear of getting caught.
