Kai’s P.O.V
The morning sunlight filtered in through the curtains, making me squirm in my sleep as I adjusted my aching arms to better fit the person who was sleeping next to me.
Even though I wasn’t fully awake yet, I knew exactly who was beside me. There was no way that I would mistake his scent…the warmth of his skin.
I kept my eyes closed, savoring the last few minutes of sleep before I would finally have to wake up and face the day.
But then, I felt Night stir in my arms, before he turned to face me, burying his face in the crook of my neck, his hands resting on my stomach as his hot breath fanned my skin, making me shiver.
“Good morning.” He grumbled, his voice a hoarse whisper.
“Morning.” I smiled, still keeping my eyes closed. “How’s the hangover.”
“Not as bad as I thought it would be,” he yawned, before burying his face further into my neck. “Hmmm…you smell good.”
“And you stink of alcohol.” I retorted. “Go wash up.”
