“Do I have to pair up with her?” Night whined for the thousandth time as I finally got him to eat something before he plopped back down onto his bed. “Why can’t it be anyone else?”

“I tried to negotiate with Zach, the student body president, but he doesn’t want to.” I shrugged, finishing up on my assignments as I sat on the table right opposite to Night’s bed. “At least he’s not having us do couple’s photoshoots in the pool.”

“That doesn’t sound so bad…” Night frowned. “Is it?”

“Considering that Ruby and I ended up having sex in the changing room last year?” I raised my eyebrows, my lips tilting up in a smirk when I saw Night’s expression sour. “Yup. I think it is.”

“At least that’s not happening with me.” He grumbled under his breath, before he sat up with his pillow clutched in his arms. “What about you? Who are you paired with this year?”
