Issac met them on their way out. "I am coming along," he declared, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Aldric answered nonchalantly, unbothered by the stern look on Issac's face, "I wish I could, but there's no space for three."

Islinda looked up at him, a question at the tip of her tongue. Although the medallion could only transport two at a time, Aldric was making it seem like there would have been no choice even if there was space for three.

"Is there no way he can tag along?" she asked out of sheer curiosity.

Islinda could understand Issac's frustration with Maxi being all alone in the palace with no one to protect her.

Aldric spared her a look, saying, "Do you think we are going on a field trip? Also, Azrael barely agreed to this as it is."

"Azrael?" Islinda asked, but Aldric had already moved on.
