Capítulo 591: Sweet Addiction

"I trust you had a pleasant night, Islinda," Aldric said, his lopsided grin in place as usual.

Islinda scowled at him, feeling irked by his perpetual cheerfulness. It certainly wasn't helping her current state, and she had half a mind to slap the grin right off his face.

Aldric must have sensed her mood shift, for his smile faltered and he raised a questioning brow. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine," Islinda replied a bit too hastily, hoping he would take the hint and leave her alone. But she should have known better. 

Aldric stepped a little too closely, and his intoxicating scent enveloped Islinda's senses.

Oh, gods.

It took everything within Islinda not to lean closer, craving more of his scent that seemed to soothe the yearning deep inside her.
