To think one day she would be scared of a kiss. 

Islinda took in a deep breath, tightening her resolve not to get carried away. It's just a quick, short kiss. Thankfully, Aldric said so himself and couldn't contradict that. No loopholes. Thank the gods. 

She was able to cover the distance between them with just a move forward and lifted herself on her toes, smacking her lips on his and stepping back before he could blink. 

"Done." Islinda breathed with relief. See, that went better than she thought. 

However, Aldric looked at her indifferently, "What just happened?" 

"The kiss." Islinda's breathing was heavy even though it wasn't even a real kiss. 

He snorted, "Were you massaging my lips or what?" 

And her hackles raised at his ridiculing tone, "You said it would be a simple kiss."
