He drew close, looming over her, and growled with ferocity, "Don't look at me that way as if you understand what I have been through…."His voice went up a notch," As if you know what it's like to be a dark Fae! As if you had a mother that hated you so much the last breath she took was to curse you to never take the throne!"

There was a tense silence after he confessed that and Islinda's mouth fell open, wide-eyed. His mother cursed him not to take his throne? She couldn't believe it. Islinda had so many questions going through her mind but she realized that this wasn't the time for it.
