Aldric looked around, "Oh," He blinked, finally realizing everyone was avoiding him like the plague. He turned to her unaffected, "That's nothing new." 

Islinda was dumbfounded. 

"So are you trying to say that this is a daily occurrence or that everyone hates you as much as I do?" 

"Get in line," He said, deadpan. 

Islinda rolled her eyes and went ahead to ask, "What did you do for them to hate you so much? Kill their loved ones? Separate them from their loved ones? Trap them in unfair deals?" She basically explained her situation. 

But she did not expect that Aldric would turn to her with a sharp look and the teasing slowly died on her lips, a lump forming in her throat instead and she was unable to turn away from the overwhelming sadness in his eyes. 

"Being born… " He said with so much pain in his voice that it cut through her, ripping her open, "That's what I did so wrong."
