Bulgari Il Cafe, the most premium store in the outside world sitting on the busy streets of Tokyo had been one of the first places to open up store inside the tower.
Being one of the first, they had placed their shop smack dab in the center of Symphonia where the light all around from the elevator to the people was so bright that the darkness of the first floor could barely reach.
It had, within moments, become one of the most beloved and high-profile spots inside the tower where only the strongest and the richest could step in.
Inside such a place, stepped in a woman with hair of purple dazzling eyes all the way down to her waist.
"Oh…" The staff in the cafe slightly shuddered in surprise.
Even amongst the big shots living in the tower. Few didn't know of the third floor's master.
Regaining her professional smile immediately, the girl smiled at the woman whose violet hair fluttered.
"A table for…" The wizard hummed. "Five, I suppose?"
"Certainly, please follow me," the staff guided the woman who was donning a white blouse and shrug and led her to the seat at the back of the cafe.
She also brought her the menu and asked for the order, but the surprises were not done yet.
The door opened once more.
With one arm missing, a man in a military jacket stepped inside. His thick beard hid the many scars all over his face.
"Did you call me here, wizard?"
He ignored the staff in the empty cafe and walked straight to the back.
"Colonel, it is a pleasure to see you."
"Do not play games. Answer. Did you write that stupid letter."
"I did not," the wizard answered, a smile on her face.
The colonel of the Sunflower Militia, the current de-facto ruler of the second floor, harrumphed at her words.
"Take a seat, we might be seeing something interesting today."
The colonel pulled back a chair across the sofa and sat down too. "I do not plan to let any of those other two go with this either."
After a bit, two more people stepped over to the table inside the cafe.
A woman with pale blue hair wearing the robes of a nun, and a young blonde man with a cheeky grin.
"My, what a gathering," the woman spoke, a calm, serene smile on her face. "I believe I had a dream of this meeting."
"Haha, you're still on your seer of tomorrow thing, Maria?" The blonde man smirked and patted the girl's forehead, only to have his hand swatted away.
The Third Rank of the Tower and the leader of all the paladins and knights in the tower, the seer of tomorrow, Sister Olivia had entered the cafe along with the cheeky leader of the adventurer guild, Mignon.
"Quite the assembly indeed," the wizard charmed a smile and said. "Now then, I believe our host should be here soon."
The other two took a seat as well. The wizard and the seer ordered doubly chocolaty chip frappucino with extra cocoa, mignon took an iced caramel macchiato and the Colonel, amused by the antics of the young ones, ordered espresso, black.
The time was just a little after eight.
They had thought their host would be coming in, but instead, passing through the door, was someone else.
"What…"
"This guy!"
The four leaders of the tower all froze and turned back.
Entering through the door covered head to toe in a robe was a young man with flaming red hair and a charming face.
The current rank one of the tower and the one who first entered the fifth floor.
"Blade of Darkness, you?" The wizard hummed.
"Which of you called me here?" Asked the Blade.
All of them sealed their lips.
Then, Mignon shrugged.
"Why don't you sit and we'll all find out."
"Tsk."
The Blade of Darkness took the last chair on the table and sat. Noticing that even after five there was still no sign of their host, the wizard asked the staff to join one more table to theirs.
The blade took a normal cafe latte.
When they thought their host was finally here, the door opened and a puff of smoke followed with the glare of the night.
Pulling back his coat and sipping on a pipe, the man with black hair combed back entered the cafe. His every step exuded grandeur and regality while his every breath brought about a taste of gravitas.
"Ativan… von Carley…" the wizard hissed his name as the man entered. He looked at them and narrowed his eyes.
"Do I know you?"
"Hah! Did you forget?"
"Yes. It must be irrelevant in that case. Do not bother with trying to remind me."
Ativan von Carley joined the table at the back.
"Did you call us here, young man?" The colonel asked.
"No. I see, you have received a letter too…"
Ativan reached into the pockets of his coat and flashed a folded piece of paper.
They were now stuck with no idea of who the culprit could be.
But not for long.
The clock soon hit Eight Thirty.
And the door opened for one last time in the night.
Standing on the gate was a man with white hair and looks that resembled those of an angel.
The one called them all. Without his knowledge.
The regressor had arrived at the meeting of the towers' leaders.
