"Well, would you look at that? You have a smaller form too." I laughed as I moved my hand. It was no longer glued to the thing's nose, so I stroked its head, scratching behind its ears and making it close its eyes with happiness. 

The thing smiled at me. Like a lot of dogs are able to do. I've seen them on TV and in movies. Dogs love to smile, at least the happy ones do. And this one was so cute when it smiled up at me. 

"See that, you are a good boy." I scratched it more behind the ears, moving so that both hands were giving the dog affection. 

"Astonishing." I heard Acacius behind me. He and the others were moving closer to me. "I've never seen someone tame a hell hound so easily." He was looking between me and the dog in front of me.

"I don't know if he's tamed, but he's definitely no longer a threat to anyone here." I grinned, not at Acacius but at the hound. "He's just a sweet little good boy now."
