As time ticked by in the Brass Tower, Cain grew increasingly nervous.
He even considered leaving, knowing that his current strength was not enough to face such a powerful Pokémon. However, doing nothing after encountering such a creature would leave him unable to rest in peace.
It finally appeared, as expected, a Mega Gengar.

Mega Gengar led the dozens of Ghost-type Pokémon towards the direction behind the Brass Tower.
After passing the Brass Tower, Mega Gengar suddenly turned around.

Lying in bed, Cain couldn't sleep.

The next day, Leo went off to play in Goldenrod City and planned to stay for three days. This undoubtedly made it more convenient for Cain and Raikou to act.
That day, they searched every corner of Yan's study and found all the books related to Ghost-type Pokémon.

Cain felt like his brain was about to explode. He got up, went out to breathe some fresh air, and tried to calm his emotions.

Cain sighed deeply and was about to return to his room when he suddenly saw a Delibird hovering in front of Raikou's dormitory door. It then pecked at Raikou's door.
Quickly, Raikou opened the door to let the Delibird in.
Cain revealed a wicked smile, he came here on the right time, Raikou certainly had secrets.
Sensing something strange, Cain released Gastly and slowly approached Raikou's room.
"Delibird, thank you for your hard work. I have received my grandfather's letter. Please assure him that I will not disappoint him and the expectations of the family."
Feeling the movement inside, Cain hurriedly retreated behind a pillar.
Raikou then came out, looked around, and let the Delibird leave.
"Grandfather's letter."
Cain sneered, "This grandfather must be that useless branch of the Yan family, still having the heart to turn things around. I'm curious to see what brilliant ideas you have."
"Gastly, go in and use Hypnosis, and make sure to stay invisible."
After Cain spoke, Gastly disappeared into the night.
There was a "plop" sound from inside Raikou's dormitory, and Cain knew Gastly had succeeded.
Opening the door, Raikou was already asleep in bed, holding a letter in his left hand and a lighter in his right.
"Heh, you're quite cautious, even knowing to destroy the evidence. It's a pity you ran into me."
Cain snorted, pulled the letter over, and saw only one line written: "Look for clues in the 'Crestmont Family Chronicle'. burn the letter after reading."
